I am a home health physical therapist and this Home Health Agency is the WORST! They are very disorganized, full of excuses with no action, poor communication and extremely unprofessional. My mother-in-law was referred to this agency for Home PT and OT because she was having severe back pain which was limiting her mobility and ADL functioning. The nurse Christa came out 3 days after Tanner had contacted my mother-in-law. She did the Oasis Admission on a Wednesday with recommendations for PT and OT. Finally, by Friday the PT and OT came out to perform their assessment/evaluation. The OT did not put her hands on mother, did not assess her function, her ability to get to the bathroom, but did check out the bathroom and wrote down a list of equipment to order from Amazon. There was no communication on the frequency of OT services and when the next OT home visit would be. Finally by Thursday of the following week, the COTA came out( over 1 hour from scheduled appointment time....no call to say that he was running late.) He checked vital signs, chatted with mother, then proceeded to check out the O2 concentrator????? The one thing he did do was ambulate mother to her bathroom and did a toilet transfer and ambulated back to her lift chair. Proceeded to do documentation on his tablet (I completely understand doing point of service documentation, however, I failed to observe any skilled therapy services). He stated that the company was having computer issues and that's why it took him so long to get out to the home. Stated he was assigned OT evaluation 2 days that week and not being an OT could not conduct that visit. The OT evaluation had already been completed the previous Friday. He stated that the OT frequency was 1wk/8, (one time a week for 8 weeks). I asked when PT would be coming out since the evaluation was performed the previous Friday and here it was Thursday of the next week. He stated that there was a PT visit scheduled for Saturday and the therapist would be reaching out to mother Friday evening to let her know what time the therapist would be out there on Saturday. No call received by the physical therapist Friday evening. Now keep in mind multiple calls and texts were sent to Tanner (who was very kind and genuinely wanted to assist in service recovery) regarding the poor communication with nursing and the therapies. Tanner looked at the schedule and informed me that a PT visit was scheduled for the following Thursday. This puts the agency out of compliance with the PT frequency which could be reported to CMS. On Monday, we reached out to the referring physician and she sent a referral to another well known home health agency. I called the Enhabit office in Gardendale to cancel services with the agency. I was forwarded to Carrie, (I assume she is part of the leadership team). I explained everything that transpired and said that we should have taken the 2.0 star review prior to accepting their services. Carrie proceeded to hang up on me! Very disrespectful for a leader of a company. PLEASE be sure to read reviews and take heed prior to making a decision.

I used them last year for wound care and OT when I had my left shoulder replaced. They were wonderful then. Just had my right shoulder replaced on 10/9/23 and contracted them again. They are now absolutely horrible. Always have to argue with them about coming out to change my dressing. I'm a widower who lives alone with no designated caregiver and they want me to have someone else over so the nurse can show that person how to clean and dress my wound! That's the nursing company's freaking job!!!!They always give me a hard time on the phone about it even though I had my surgeons office speak to them about it. When they're done with wound care I will never use them again or recommend them to anybody else and will get my OT done thru another company. EDIT: Contacted corporate number as suggested after my poor review. Was called back on 11/13/23 to discuss issues. Very friendly and understanding conversation. Call back was appreciated. Kudos to them for that. Added back 1 star for their showing care and taking time to reach out.

This company is disorganized and unprofessional. The staff either agreed to be here at say 8 am and didn't show until noon OR didn't show up at all. Get it together!
