My mother has been through three major surgeries over the past 4 years and having stayed in two different in-patient rehab centers, and has had services with Enhabit Home Health, Troy, Alabama, in her home following the release from the rehabilitation centers. The staff is always so kind, communication is always top notch, and the physical therapy has proven effective in every case. I have my full trust in the Enhabit Home Health staff with my mother and highly recommend their services for your loved one.

Used them for my mom. Saw them basically twice in a three week time frame. Never even saw the home health aide. The nurses were nice enough. You just never know when they are going to actually show up. Would not recommend but there are not a lot of options in Troy area.

The wonderful staff of Encompass Hospice was a Godsend to our family. Each and every one of the nurses, aids and other staff were amazing during our time with them when my mother in law needed them. We were fortunate enough to have one special aid, Tammie Roper, that formed a wonderful bond with our family and came every day to help Bambama with her bath and just showing her a little extra love! I would definitely recommend these great people to help with others that are facing losing a loved one.

We arrived home from the hospital with my Dad Sunday evening. Brittany was the first hospice nurse that we met with. She was very through, caring and helpful. Everything happened so fast that we had not been able to hire sitters to help us yet. So on Monday morning my Mother and I did our best to care for my Dad before I had to leave for work but we were unable to change his soiled sheets and hospital gown because we were not experienced on how to move my Dad to be able to do this. We knew that another hospice nurse was coming that morning and I left thinking that she would take care of this when she arrived. The hospice nurse did come to care for my Dad that morning but when I came home from work that evening I was appalled to see that he was still wearing the same soiled gown and that the sheets had not been changed. There were clean sheets there but she just placed a pad underneath him instead. We had an experienced sitter with us that evening and my cousin, who is a paramedic, had come to visit and the three of us had him and his sheets changed within 10 minutes. There were people there when the nurse came that could have helped her change the sheets while she was there but she chose to just cover the issue instead. I feel that this is not how you show respect to a person who is dying and their family.

My mother was on hospice with Alacare in her home near Union Springs. I cannot begin to express how grateful our entire family is for their caring and compassionate love for my mother and my father during this very difficult time. What a joy to have the memory of having her at home during her last weeks, days, and hours! We could not have had the conversations we had and she could not have experienced the peace she experienced in another setting such as a hospital or ER. My family actually circled her in the hours before her death and sang church hymnals to her and we could tell that she heard us and knew the peace surrounding her before she took her last breaths. The nurses were PHENOMINAL and reacted quickly to our needs. My advice to any family considering hospice is to reach out to Alacare and let them show you how their entire team of compassionate professionals can help not only the patient, but the entire family.........Ken Cope
