Do not go to any doctor office/clinic located in a hospital (Baptist Health Medical Center-Drew County). You will get charged a hospital fee if $150, just because the clinic is located in the hospital. This is separate from the doctor's bill. They will nickle and dime you for anything. Big profit over patient's health.

The hospital here in Monticello has done a lot of crap that is unexpectable. They have tried to convince me I don't have a problem that was confirmed and shown to me by other doctors shown to be a problem. They also woke up my unconscious friend by slapping and shaking him. They also have multiple malpractice cases against them. They can sometimes be worse than the problems you come in for. For everyone who are considering this hospital, don't.

The amount of time people have wasted at this facility should be studied. To make a long story short: 4 hour waiting period between the ER and triage, seems like all staff needs training on bedside manner, professionalism, and maybe providing medical care.. 3 days after discharge and the medication that the doctor assured us he sent to the pharmacy has yet to be filled/called in. Days later, we talked to someone in the ER dept. who knew nothing and made sure to let us know she knew nothing. This is just ridiculous! Never going back.

I was there this past Sunday. I had to ask the ER dr 3 times to check my ears for me because they were throbbing. After the third time he said, “yea, I’ll check your ears, doesn’t mean ima give you anything for it, but I’ll check them” Is that not part of the initial work up when you go to the hospital?? The floors were disgusting. Baptist in LR would never allow their floors to look like that. The DR had very poor bedside manner and I’ll be going to Warren next time. I wouldn’t take my sick dog over there!!

As a health care provider in emergency medicine, I can tell you that since Baptist took over the Hospital in Monticello the ER staff has gotten absolutely out of control. They are blatantly rude to ppl. Will use foul language with you over the phone with you then lie straight to your face. They are not patient advocates like they should be. They get mad and rude because they have to do their jobs. The unprofessionalism Is absolutely astounding. Even from some of the physicians. After filing multiple complaints, nothing has ever changed. They continue to act any way they want to.
