In the months that we were with Everett home Health, there were many good things however, everything good was eviscerated in the end because of one Nurse. It seems that this nurse had a monopoly with most of the patients. Unfortunately for us, the nurse was not a good nurse, she was extremely moody, she suggested that my mother be put on palliative care what she basically thought was hospice when it was none of her business, her insecurities would all of a sudden show up and she would start “freaking out“ that there was “too much going on here“ and she wanted nothing to do with it so she coerced me into taking my mother to the emergency room, there was nothing wrong with my mother outside of what we were treating at home and if the physicians at the hospital felt that my mother necessitated More care than a home Health could provide they would not have released my mother in the first place into Everett home Health care, but this nurse was all over the place in not only her assessments of a wound, but also her basic overall care, lacking Basic empathy for the patient and their family, but also was so entrenched in her insecurities that we never knew what was going to happen next. The nurse could not even do a simple clean catch catheter without having to have several people Assist her, this is basic nursing, and the nurse wanted people from our home to assist her for a clean catch catheter which obviously she was not confident that she could perform. The ridiculousness of all of this from one Nurse is a comedy of errors and the joke was on us. Unfortunately, the owner played into this because this particular nurse highly coercive. Based on the problems, this home Health does not have adequate nursing and nursing is the foundation for home Health, I would definitely say do not use them, I think these problems are visceral within Everett home Health and that they will take more than a while to correct them because as bad as they were for patients to have the experience that we had… well, I don’t see it changing anytime soon.
