I had a total knee replacement and was discharged the next day. I became septic and was re-admitted the day after that. 3 days later I was discharged. It has been 2 weeks since surgery and no one from wound care has contacted me. I have contacted wound care twice and been told they have many nurses call in sick. I asked them if I still needed wound care and was told they should do an evaluation. Still waiting to hear from them to schedule a visit. Heard back from the wound nurse and the administrator. They listened and I immediately got a visit. I really appreciated how they handled the issue.
