My 46 yr old sister sustained several severe traumatic brain injuries in February. Against all odds she survived and is recovering with many helpful therapists. Spirit has had the only staff we’ve encountered that seems to understand brain injuries. Her Speech/language pathologist Amanda has taken the time to form a relationship with Ellen which is priceless. She cares so much about making therapy valuable to her. Not just using the computer programs or print outs. Brian her PT and Brandi OT were equally as educated and thoughtful. We received care at University of Cincinnati, Drake LTAC and Encompass inpatient rehab where we found much incompetence and an inability to understand brain injury patients care. I’m eternally grateful to Spirit Home Health and expect that Ellen will recover to independence thanks to the special care she received. Especially Amanda SLP who works with her aphasia.
