I have enjoyed the convenience and ease of booking appointments with Tìa and I would normally give 5 stars. Unfortunately, I can't due to the one sided time policy they have in place. I have come to 5-6 appointments in the Pasadena clinic and every time my clinician has been running late. Today, due to a technical error on my part. I was 5 minutes past a grace period. I was then told that they needed to cancel my appointment and reschedule me. That seems like a very one-sided policy to me and is the reason for my two stars. I'm hopeful Tia will find a positive solution to work both ways with their clientele.

Lovely facility which you can access easily if you park on the roof level of the structure. Staff is super friendly and kind. The lobby is cute and there are comfortable areas to sit. I have enjoyed their acupuncture services which are well-appointed.

The folks at Tia are, on a whole, very nice. I have two big complaints to justify why I will not continue with Tia and why I feel disappointed by how things went while I was seeking care there. This includes both virtual care and in-person. - Billing for labs. On the Tia site, I says that billing will be done by the third party who handled the labs. Okay, fine, no big deal. However, it leaves out the fact that those lab payments are expected on receipt of the bills. I got a fun $600 surprise and it left me fuming. I was not prepared for this bill! On the services chart in the website, it shows that labs are $23 and up but I think that gives the impression that Tia is handling billing by placing it in a chart with the rest of services. It’s misleading and left me in a very stressful financial position. They don’t leave this out completely, but it should be very plainly stated and labs shouldn’t be in their services chart if they aren’t actually handling the labs. - it took four visits with three different providers to get one task completed, an updated thyroid prescription. One of the providers was kind enough to cancel my visit after we chatted a little since she apparently couldn’t review thyroid labs or write the scrip, but it was a waste of my time to have gone through it, nice as she was. Each provider said I needed a new visit with some other person, it seemed, and no answers were really given. I felt like I’ve wasted my hard earned money on some well-meaning, but perhaps ill-equipped providers. All these labs are ordered and I have to pay hundreds on the spot for them, but I have yet to meet with someone who will explain what they mean. I have to risk another $257 invested into another visit which may well result in more no answers and more useless referrals. No thanks - I’ll find guidance elsewhere. Beyond that, the communication fell through on multiple occasions. It doesn’t appear there’s sufficient accountability for things like that. It’s very unfair to everyone, providers included, when virtual, admin, and in-person folks are all on a different page, and it’s a bad look to patients.

At the risk of sounding cliché, I have literally NEVER left a review in my life. But I felt absolutely compelled to warn people against coming to this establishment EVER! Not only do they charge an arm and leg, their customer service is awful and they don’t respond to emails or calls. They do not care about customers at all. It’s all about quantity instead of quality for them. I recently experienced the worst customer service experience from the receptionist at Pasadena Tia clinic as well as the care provider Nicole Brennan. I drove nearly an hour to my appointment and hit unexpected traffic (it’s LA!!). It is also hard to find the Pasadena office’s location. My appointment was at 3pm. I arrived at 3:08. I couldn’t find the office but eventually walked in at 3:12. Only 2 minutes after my appointment time’s “grace period.” In truth, a universal grace period is 15 minutes. I was rudely turned away and told I’d be charged and have to reschedule. That is completely ridiculous and shows that Tia does not value customers. Poor customer service is an understatement. I have waited over 15 min to be seen for an appointment at Tia in the past, yet me being 2 min past the grace period is a huge issue? My appointment was for acupuncture, which means it’s self regulated and could have still happened. You have lost a customer over 2 minutes. And for whoever is reading this from Tia, and commenting that people should email you. YOU DON’T ever respond to emails or phone calls. So stop lying. If I’m charged for this cancellation, I will file a complaint with the better business bureau.

Appointments are very quick, like next day quick. A meeting with the doctor is also instantaneous depending on your schedule. I haven’t been to the doctors in 3 yrs, so I got a whole check up, Pap test and blood work done on the same day. I have some skin issues, so they recommended a few dermatologist’s that’s covered in my insurance. Scheduled a virtual follow up within hours of my lab results being posted. My female doctors are open to questions, super clear and very knowledgeable. Make sure to fill out everything before your visit, makes wait time faster. Facilities are very clean and colorful, inviting waiting area (almost like being in an hotel lobby), had a collection of good books in the waiting area to browse through and it makes going to visit your practitioner more enjoyable than I guess it should be.
