My Mom had a great experience with both Kristen Wheeler (PT) and Michelle (OT), particularly Michelle because they really clicked. Mom made progress both physically and emotionally with both of them. From my perspective they were top-notch communicators/schedulers and I was really grateful for that. I’ve found with other home health groups it has been hard to have a regularly scheduled time and they were willing to do this, making a big difference for my 92 year old Mom. It helped her to track and to have more of a rhythm to her day and week. Thank you!

The level of professionalism of the therapists and nursing staff was only exceeded by the real compassion shown. The need for these services is not one that a person enjoys and the the combined professionalism and compassion makes the acceptance easier.

I recently had total knee replacement surgery & due to a number of miscommunications had far greater pain (truly torturous & far beyond what is normal). I received great help from the in-home caregivers at CenterWell. I had a PT (physical therapist - a supervisor, I believe, Jill) come to my house for my initial evaluation. She also was my last appointment, coming out to evaluate how far I had come since surgery. Apparently, I am ready to graduate to out patient PT starting tomorrow. I had an OT (occupational therapist), Shifra, who showed me how to navigate the kitchen, bathroom, shower, etc. without injuring myself. She was kind, supportive & knowledgeable. I had two visits with her. She was wonderful. My main caregiver was Brianna, a PT. She came twice a week for 2-3 weeks. As I had far overdone the initial exercises - forced my leg/knee into extreme positions based on misreading an exercise handout - I was suffering from the most extreme pain of my life, Brianna ordered extra time with me before handing me over to out patient PT. Brianna was very kind, gentle & supportive of me despite my having done stupid things to myself before I had CenterWell’s staff start my in home care. She guided me through exercises I needed at a pace that wasn’t as aggressive as she normally would employ, because she was aware of the depth of my pain. I found Brianna to be quite an intuitive caregiver, as she read me quickly, much to my husband’s delight. She picked up on my personality immediately, kindly reprimanding me when I pushed myself too far between her visits. Brianna was fantastic!! I would not have been so successful with my post surgerical work without the aid of these fabulous caregivers from CenterWell. I highly recommend CenterWell’s staff. I started out less than zero & ended right where I should be. Thank you to Jill, Shifra & Brianna!! P. S. My daughter is a PT in Washington, DC, so I know a little bit about PT.

My nurse is excellent. Truly excellent. Radhi. Replacements were all done when she was away. Those nurses were all very good also. I haven’t needed to deal with agency directly at all, which means everybody has done their job really well.

Thank you very much for your in-home nursing services. It was encouraging to watch how professional, trusting and caring is you nursing staff as compared with the SF VA and other facilities. The nursing in SF has ALWAYS practiced gross isolation and neglect causing major deterioration in my husband’s, (Daren Heatherly) mental and physical health conditions and I firmly believe that the SFVA is using the Covid epidemic as an excuse to maintain the existing inferior QOC to this day. As he would say, Michelle is truly “an angel of mercy”
