It's so easy to leave a bad review, which makes it all the more important to leave a good one when it is warranted! Sonder was chosen for me by the wonderful skilled nursing facility my mom was in (see my review of American River Center). I'm sure that your experience (the quality of care, facility, or personnel is dependent on who you have and who you are, i.e. "your mileage may vary"). My experience was the exact opposite of the previous reviewers. From day one, Sonder was compassionate, efficient, and never left me feeling like I had no support. My mother's health declined rapidly, which I didn't see coming. Sonder provided a wonderful home health aid. (Griselda ), to help a few mornings a week, as well as RN support (shout out to Chichi, Asia, and Julio) when I needed it. Support staff was also wonderful (Jennifer and Joann stood out among the others).They took care of all DME needs and supplies quickly, adding whatever I needed whenever I asked. I probably wasn't the easiest client, as I had a few panics in the middle of the night. It's scary being a solo caregiver! Every time I needed them, they were available by phone to talk me through it, or showed up with kind words and voices of experience. My mom ended up passing very quickly, and Sonder handled it like a champ. Although I will never have the personal need again, I wouldn't hesitate to use them or recommend them to my family and friends. A parting thought... the Golden Rule has never seemed so obvious to me in the past months/years of caregiving. I always treat those helping me with kindness and compassion, remembering that what they do is not easy, and they could always be doing something else. They choose to be there taking care of our loved ones, and for that I am forever grateful!
