This review is 2 years overdue. I couldn't imagine having to oversee my mother's dementia care in a facility without having the regular oversight and input of OPO. Mom and her family are so lucky that they were recommended to us. I've not experienced or heard of a company so much 'above and beyond' as their regular course of doing business. The level of care and the level of communication is exceptional. Couldn't recommend this company more.

OPO Health provides excellent home health services. Due to some health challenges, my parent was admitted to the hospital following a discharge from OPO home health. My parent name requested their nurse, Grace, due to the service and care that she and her team have provided. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.

My husband was went home from UCSF hospital to recover from an infected knee. He needed twice daily antibiotic infusions and weekly nurse visits to change the pic-line bandage. Yvonne was the nurse sent by OPO. She was a dream come true with her knowledge and demeanor. Prince, the owner-director, of OPO often came with her to take the bloodwork to the lab each week. The entire team at OPO was so caring and responsive. I don't know how we could have gotten through the past 7 weeks without them!

I was quite disappointed by my experience with Opo. In mid-January my mother was hospitalized for a week and then sent to a skilled nursing facility for further recovery for a couple of weeks. That facility then referred us to Opo for continuation of nursing, PT, and OT at home. The care coordinator promptly contacted me and was wonderful -- very nice and as helpful as she could be in all of our interactions. She arranged for a nurse to come out to see my mom in her first week back at home, followed by two additional weekly visits. At the first visit, the nurse said PT & OT would be contacting us to arrange those therapies twice weekly as well. The second & third times that the nurse came, I told her that I still hadn’t heard anything from PT/OT RE: scheduling. She called someone at the agency while she was with us, then told me that they’d be reaching out, but they never did. I also notified the care coordinator right after the nurse's second visit that no one from PT/OT had reached out. She was very helpful & nice, and said she’d escalate to her supervisor, but unfortunately again — I heard nothing. Finally, nearly four weeks after we brought my mom home from the skilled nursing facility, someone called to schedule OT. At that point, we were no longer able to schedule, as my mom was leaving the Bay Area to go stay with my sister for the next couple of months. My mom should've begun receiving in-home PT and OT as soon as she was discharged from the skilled nursing facility to gain the most benefit from a continuation of these therapies. I feel like Opo really dropped the ball on getting her the services that she needed.

I was in need of a home health provider for an elderly family member. Having had other health care in the past, and never being fully satisfied. So I did research and landed on OPO health. Before hiring any I wanted to do a phone interview. Phone was answered by the owner Prince. He took his time, was patient, answered all of my concerns from previous home health providers and even suggested solutions if I had the same problems. He gave me his direct number, the few times I had questions he responded immediately. The attentiveness was outstanding. As was the PT and OT, not only was the care and results great. They were on time, the care was compassionate and complete. The one and only time a OT had to change a schedule, I was notified far in advance and the replacement visit was scheduled at that time. I could go on but this is the best I can say. If my family member ever is in need of home health care. I will go directly to OPO health.
