My experience was very positive. The team who worked on me was very skilled and confident in themselves which provided me peace of mind going into my procedure. The team was also very friendly and I appreciated meeting them prior to my procedure to go over everything and go over any concerns. My many questions were answered and I would trust the cardiology department with my life again.

I had a very positive experience during my recent visit and procedure. I truly appreciated the professional care and expertise provided by Dr. Vasiliki Irene Aivaliotis. I would also like to thank the nurses, Stephanie and Mia ( my apology for this nurse if I not correct with name), for their help. They were very supportive while preparing me for the procedure and throughout the entire process. Thank you so much.

Kaiser provides the worst health care I have ever received. Their staff is untrained and over worked. They have no social skills. It is the McDonald’s of health care. They do not have any accountability because their corporate call machine makes it impossible to reach anyone or receive adequate care. You will be left on hold for hours with no appointment made. Their staff has consistently been rude to me with some even yelling at me over the phone. Kaiser would really benefit from the following changes: -have available appointments -treat patients with kindness and respect -have accountability by having a call system where individuals are reachable and introduce themselves -have a automated identification system that actually works (sorry I didn’t understand that- hangs up) -have staff trained with communication skills -inform patients that their authorized care caregivers no longer work at Kaiser BEFORE they run out of their meds and cannot access them -have appointments available within a month’s time -don’t make patients play phone tag for hours -leave informative voicemails sounding just see caller ID for Kaiser with no specified reason -don’t have advice nurses call pretend they don’t know why they are calling then interrogate patients and send law enforcement to their home (happened to me yesterday because I jokingly said I wanted to off myself after being on the phone for 4 hours trying to get my medication) -make pharmacies and labs more efficient so people aren’t standing in line for 30+ minutes -have overall accountability for quality patient care instead of rushing to check off boxes Real experiences I’ve had Kaiser: >going in for a concussion and having the doctor say they would call back in to check in and “observing me” as I walked out only to not tell me I left my purse behind in the office I did not receive a call or any attempt to return it to me and I had to uber back to get it with a brain injury) >went through the rigamarole of getting a therapist only for it to be some random weird guy who would only hold 30 minute phone calls with me ever 2 months and would call me by the wrong name- even after I told them it seemed like a bad fit at the initial referral >major hell just to get my already prescribed medication >my psych quit and instead of sending me a letter/email to let me know what was going on and ensuring consistent access to my daily medication, they waited until after I had tried to get my meds authorized after they ran out and went to the pharmacy on 3 separate occasions to cold call me telling me that I needed to book out an appointment to get a new psychiatrist in a month and a half and start the prescription process all over again with no explanation of what was going on (what would I do about my meds in the interim they didn’t even tell me that my psych didn’t work at Kaiser anymore just that I need a new one and that they didn’t have any appointments for a month and a half). Basically, they think it’s the patient’s responsibility to figure out how to receive care when their staff quits. Didn’t even think they needed to explain themselves about it. So now, I’m unmedicated, have no way of getting my medication, and am left stranded in a position where this dysfunctional system gets to decide how healthy I get to be.

I am sharing my experience at Kaiser Santa Clara labor and delivery to warn other mothers. I am currently 7 weeks postpartum, and while I chose this location based on friend recommendations, my experience was a nightmare. I went in for a routine NST at 40 weeks and 6 days. The ultrasound showed a healthy baby with normal heart rates and movement, but because the baby only moved once (instead of twice) during the window, my OB sent me to the hospital for a "deeper evaluation." Once I arrived, it became clear there was a major miscommunication. What was supposed to be an evaluation immediately turned into a forced induction. Although I was scheduled for an induction two days later, they pushed me to start immediately. I felt zero autonomy; a nurse even told me, "We can’t force you," yet every action they took made me feel like I had no choice. The induction process was handled poorly. After they administered a cervical ripening balloon and medication, my contractions became intense. When I wasn't dilating as fast as the staff wanted, they claimed the baby was in distress—distress caused by the very induction they forced upon me. The most alarming part: I watched nurses looking online and asking AI tools what pain medications they should give me. It is absolutely terrifying and unprofessional that medically licensed individuals were relying on AI to make decisions about my care. Despite having a successful vaginal delivery with my first pregnancy, I was rushed into a C-section here. A doctor even told my spouse and me that they didn’t want to take a risk because the hospital has had "high rates of stillbirths"—a shocking thing to say to a laboring mother. I was given less than 10 minutes to process the decision before being wheeled in. Throughout my stay, the nursing care was negligent. They were rarely present, and I was never checked on by a social worker despite the traumatic nature of the birth. I truly regret choosing this hospital and urge others to consider alternatives.

I’ve had consistently positive experiences with Kaiser. My thyroid specialist, Dr. Vu, is excellent — knowledgeable, attentive, and always takes the time to explain my condition and treatment options clearly. I feel very well cared for under his guidance. The lab services are also great. The staff are friendly and professional, and the process is impressively efficient — from check-in to blood draw usually takes less than 10 minutes. I also received iron infusions in Room 440, and the nurses there are absolutely wonderful. They’re kind, patient, and made the whole experience very comfortable. The room is clean and quiet, and they even offer complimentary snacks and juice, which is a really thoughtful touch. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the care I’ve received at Kaiser — from lab services to specialty care and infusions. Everything is well-organized, and I appreciate how easy it is to manage appointments and results through the online system. Highly recommended!
