The nurses are amazing, however, the administration is awful. They make promises that they don't fulfill 90% of the time. No returned phone calls. You never speak to the same person twice, and they are all dismissive. They are just a dismal service.

My mom recieved end of life care from Dignity Hospice. The nurses and CNA were amazing. They offered guidance, wisdom and support in the kindest and most compassionate way possible. Everyone I spoke with was kind and loving, they have a team that supported our needs. We were given all of the equipment, visits, medication and supplies needed very quickly and we were constantly asked what else our family needed. I am so happy I chose this agency. It is overwhelming to make decisions like choosing a Hospice agency. The reviews online are so concerning and make the decision of choosing a Hospice agency challenging. I hope my experience is helpful to others that are in the difficult position of have to make a critical decision of which Hospice to choose during a very emotional period.

Most of the nurses provided excellent care. Two of the hospice nurses, however, treated us poorly, and made false allegations about the state of our care for a relative who was transitioning. One of the nurses repeatedly yelled at my elderly father, the relative's primary caretaker, and made reports to the county that the county later determined to be unsubstantiated.

My rant. My sister in law has stage four Lewy Bodies Dementia and lung cancer. We signed up with Dignity Health Care Hopicecin Santa Maria California. They fired her yesterday , they call exits as graduation, because she is not dying fast enough! Dr. Kadick, the hospice doctor they recommended came to her house one time. He did not examine her but asked a couple of questions and left. He decided she was stable and decided to terminate her care. I appealed the case but they only sent his notes , not the nurse who visited her every week and said she is declining. They have dropped her. They are going to come and take her oxygen and walker! Please ifcyou have a loved one who needs Hospice be very careful of this group! They are cruel and selfish. They are leaving an 82 year old lady who is unable to walk, cook, bathe, drive or understand alone and on her own! They also said that she would get help with housekeeping and that stopped over 3 months ago! The social workers don’t seem to care! Do not put your loved ones in their care! All they care about is $

I think that hospice agencies are understaffed. In light of that fact, I found it very difficult to get help for my husband's agitation. (Several hours and sometimes outright denial of help) When I expressed desperation, I was turned into Adult Protection Services. I was directed by hospice to hand my husband over to a care facility, but later told by APS that his agitation would make him ineligible. Had to call the Fire Department in the middle of the night when he was a threat to himself and me. Later, I opened a claim with Public Health administration and Dignity Hospice was given a reprimand and had to have a special meeting with their employees to reiterate how to treat family members and give them respite care.
