This is the most unprofessional, incompetent we have ever had to deal with. There is absolutely no follow up. No one will respond and lie about returning calls. How this company is even in business is unfathomable. That’s why they have a 2 star rating review. Which I feel should be much lowered. My family was under their care and then they stopped services with no notification. With the back in forth of the lies . Just stop authorizing services. The negligence and poor customer service is unbelievable. The owner should be embarrassed. Please don’t not use this company for your family members , unless poor customer service and negligence is your thing. Yes I have reported them to all State and Medicare agencies required. I suggest anyone who has issues reports them as well.

Whoever initially called about having to get a PA was fine to deal with. However, calling back and speaking to the receptionists? That’s a whole other story. I hope that I never have to communicate with these people again. They have no interest in helping someone understand the process and instead it seems they just seek out an opportunity to be rude and condescending. I’ve worked in home health and how you’re treated by these folks is far from the ideal experience that a family should have when dealing with medical issues. Retrain your staff to show the compassion and understanding that they should be providing to their clients. Review your business standards because the overall Google rating certainly shows you are lacking.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience with Coastal Care. I spoke with Mickey, who stated he has been in this field for 20 years. The referral order sent to them was incomplete, which happens, but rather than offering to help coordinate with the hospital for a revised order, he told me I would have to get that taken care of myself while being in the hospital at this very moment with my husband. I calmly explained that my husband needs a nurse to assist with medication management and monitoring vitals due to recurrent hospitalizations, ongoing complications, and our current situation. I am working full time while also caring for my sick husband and our four young children. Instead of showing understanding, Mickey responded, “Well, if you don’t want to help him…” — a deeply inappropriate and hurtful comment. I had to interrupt him and tell him that was an awful thing to say. As someone who has worked as a case manager in college and as a licensed clinician for the past 15 years, I was shocked by the lack of compassion or initiative. He called while being at the hospital after a health crisis and made me feel on my own. At no point did he offer to contact the discharge planner or express any empathy. If this is how he has spoken to families in crisis for the past two decades, I find that very concerning. Families like mine are going through some of the most devastating moments of their lives. A little kindness and a willingness to help could have made a huge difference. Instead, I am left scrambling to fix an issue that a “coordinator” like Mickey could have helped with. I truly hope Coastal Care reevaluates how they speak to and support the people who turn to them in times of need.

I worked with this company recently to obtain authorization for some crutches and they made the process so easy. The coordinator even reached out to the doctors office for me to get the paperwork needed. I had my crutches delivered the next day. Amazing! Thank you!
