This company told my Health Coordinator at a local hospital, that I didn't want the services and that I denied their assistance 3 times. That is not true. What I needed was assurance that I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket for any of their services. The could not provide me that assurance in writing. My second concern was that they couldn't make up their mind whether they would accept my insurance or not. The first representative, a very friendly gal, initially stated that they would accept both of my insurances. Then I received another call from her exclaiming that they did not accept my secondary Insurance, and that I would have to pay 25 percent that my primary insuranc wouldnt pay. The very next day, that same agent told me that what she stated ealier wasn't accurate and that I didn't have to pay anything. Less than 24 hours, miraculously they were contracted with my secondary insurance, the insurance she said just the previous day before that she said they didn't accept. The next day I had a nurse at my door, a very nice man, who tried to get me to sign the paperwork to accept responsibility to pay the 25% if the insurance failed to pay. I told him I could not afford to pay the 25 percent. He called his supervisor and told her I needed assurance in writing that I wouldn't have to pay anything. She said she would put something in writing. I then got a call from her asking me to sign all the paperwork and she assured me she would put aomething in writing by the following week. She never put anything in wring and did not send me anything the following week. I ended up signing all the paperwork except for the one which would list me as the payor if the insurance wouldn't pay. This entire experience has been chaotic and stressful! To add insult to injury Lexor lied to my Health Coordinator gave her a false statement her(when she called to see if they would render aid to me)exclaiming that I declined their assistance 3 times, so they didn't want to assist me any longer. This is totally inaccurate! When my Health Coordinator called me today and told me they said this, I told her that I didn't want that Agency taking care of me who speaks untruths or who is dishonest. I wouldn't want to entrust my care with any Agency like this. If they speak untruth, it is quite possible that they would demonstrate dishonesty in other areas relating to my care. I never want to business with Luxor, nor will I refer any of my friends or family to this Agency!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. After my mother illness the rehabilitation hospital recommended Luxor Home Health to us for help with getting the supplies we needed at her home so when she was released the transition to home would be a easy as possible. Part of the blame of our situation also goes to the rehab hospital because there was NO follow up at all. So we discussed a hospital bed, a wheelchair, and a few other small items that were necessary. We were told it would be a day or two. Great. Well what a nightmare after multiple calls and many many many excuses from both ends 30 days after her release there was still no hospital bed to her home. We had to rent one in the meantime which cost about 250.00 Medicare was supposed to pay for this and it was to cost us nothing. Wheelchair Medicare was supposed to pay for it, they showed up and told us we needed to pay them $450.oo. Ridiculous. I sent them away. I ended up getting the wheelchair on my own and also the tray for over her bed to eat. The bed they sent was a manual bed. we had to crank it up and down which was not easy. The mattress my mom could not handle. they gave us no other alternative but when we spoke to another home health company they gave us other options. I spend daily on the phone with Luxor trying to get them to step up and do what they were supposed to do. They could have cared less how this was affecting my mom and also myself as I became her 24/7 caregiver. With everything going on and the stress from the entire situation dealing with Luxor was a NIGHTMARE and I suggest that anyone referred to them should stay away and also if Sutter Home Health is available to you use them. Within just a few days of discharging Luxor and hiring Sutter we had everything we needed. We had PT and OT regularly, we had nurses weekly we had a great bed, we felt like we were really being cared for. I do NOT recommend Luxor in any way shape or form. The one thing that they are really good at is excuses.
