My father was recently discharged from West Covina Health Care Center. We had the best experience ever! Everyone from the therapist to nurses and the whole entire staff were amazing. My father received the best therapy, nurses were always professional and welcoming, and everyone was just very caring. I would highly recommend this facility for your loved ones.

West Covina Healthcare is an amazing place. Andrea’s assisted me from start to finish in placement for my father. He was and continues to be kind, caring, supportive and ready to help me. Claudia in Social Services is a knowledge angel 😇 Ben the activities director is so kind, attentive and loving and has a genuine care for everyone. Business office is point on. No drama. Nursing staff are efficient, kind and caring. They are a top notch team. Having to find a place for my father was overwhelming and heartbreaking. I will say never in my wildest dreams what I believed was the worst experience I could be living through turned into such a beautiful experience. My father is cared for with “LOVE” I would recommend West Covina healthcare to anyone who is looking for the best for any family member. I truly believe all the amazing people there are doing “ Gods work” one patient at a time. I feel truly blessed to have found West Covina Healthcare. I am able to sleep at night knowing everything is fine ❤️

It's a clean place. Staff is nice but they don't respond well to the call button or to patient concerns. I witnessed a no response call and no one new what to do except call 911. I think it was to late. There should be a little more care in Healthcare. Food is served cold and has a lot to be desired.

I recently visited the West Covina Nursing Facility and was pleasantly impressed. The menu and food service were thoughtful, offering a variety of delicious options tailored to residents' needs. The dining area was clean and welcoming, inviting a sense of community meal or gathering. What stood out most was the staff's genuine care and attentiveness for the elders. It's clear they go above and beyond to ensure residents feel valued and respected. Overall, I highly recommend this facility for its exceptional dining experience and compassionate care.

Kaiser should stop referring patients here. The staff is not friendly and discourages long visitations. My father has Parkinson's and was transferred to this facility for rehab after being hospitalized for sepsis. The Dr.'s orders were not followed most of the time and family had to constantly be on top of everything otherwise it wouldn't get done. As another reviewer noted, when a patient arrives they need to be evaluated by a therapist before staff are allowed to assist patients to use the restroom. We arrived at the facility at 5pm so there wasn't anyone available to evaluate him until the following afternoon. We called a nurse to provide a bed pan and waited 45 minutes, and still nothing. We finally stood him up and transferred him to the wheelchair to take him to the restroom ourselves. This lack of attention went on for the duration of his 8 day stay. His medications didn't arrive until the following afternoon causing him to miss several doses of medication and crucial IV antibiotics. Several times we arrived at 8am (Nurses don't like anyone there before 9am) to find my father soiled with a full catheter bag and freezing as he was unable to get out of bed on his own for the first few days. We are fortunate to be able to have a family member there with my dad from 8am-8pm everyday of his stay. Although, much to the staff's dislike. Many patients are heard yelling for help or whaling in pain for hours, and they were just ignored by staff. Another example of negligence was that as he was being discharged the attending nurse unnecessarily removed his catheter stating that it was Dr.'s orders. This was the 2nd time during his stay that the catheter was mistakenly removed. We wound up in the ER again 2 days after leaving the facility with a blood infection probably due to the unsanitary conditions and carelessness of the care staff. The facility is run down, the beds are old, the linens tattered and stained, the paint on the walls is chipping, the floors and restrooms are dirty and the door knobs and restroom fixtures don't even meet ADA requirements. I'm not sure how they get away with it. The physical therapists were very good. He did make excellent progress in his physical strength recovery due to their hard work.
