This company showed up at our home unannounced. Then proceeded to think the 40 year old was 80. The person didn't check the chart first. Very unprofessional!

I had set up home health 5 days before getting out of the hospital. I am a health care worker and our clinic recommends Bayada for many of our patients for PT,OT, ADLS. The patients at our clinic really like them so for me there was no question who I chose for my home health. The intake nurse came day after I was home and helped me talk about what i needed ect. I was unable to get around easily as I had a emergency surgery and had quite a few acute issues. The intake nurse did not set up for an LPN or Nurse to come and assist me on the days that followed that initial visit. So I had to call and wait for a call back. I never got a call so I ended up having to call one of my personal friends who is a nurse practitioner to come to my home to help me. Bayada Fort Collins called back the next day but by then did not need them to come that afternoon. The next two visits the LPN that came out was very nice. The next visit I had to call and ask where my person was as she did not come due to not being dispatched on that day. I got charged for that visit regardless. The next visit the LPN brought her supervisor who was a nurse with her due to me complaining about her not being dispatched on the day that we agreed she would come. The supervisor that came was nice but short with me she seemed irritated that she had to come out at all. I did not request for her to come. I asked to be discharged after that. I felt that my assistance that I needed was not important to Bayada Fort Collins. I got more out of the PVH wound clinic than I did from home heath and i was being treated for the same thing. So if you have an acute surgery and require assistance with wounds or ostomy requirements do not use this company. If it is for PT, OT, ADL's, medication assistance Bayada is OK. I personally will not recommend them again as my experience was not the best. I was so disappointed.

Horrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone. Nothing but a staffing agency. No one contacted us from the main office, we just started getting calls from care givers without any forewarning. We had no idea who these people were. Some didn't speak articulate English and one of the specialist was supposed to be a speech therapist. These people would call late in the evening to tell us they would be by the next morning, not ask, tell. Just a scam to rip off insurance companies. We never received any credentials for any of the therapist. Stay away........
