Nurse named Jimsey in Colorado Springs is absolutely horrible with no sense of integrity whatsoever. Refused to give care for a patient in need of wound care and made false allegations that the patient was “yelling and screaming”. There was a witness present during the time of the visit as well as security camera footage that showed this information was not true. It’s a nurses duty to hold compassion for patients and be willing to provide care even if there is a mismatch in personalities: Jimsey’s behavior in this scenario resulted in significantly delayed care for the patients venous stasis ulcers.

We are currently using Alliant home health as my husband is suffering from prostate cancer and has nephrostomy tubes placed and needs bandages changed weekly. We’ve had excellent care from TJ Cody with the rehab and Heather, who has offered excellent nursing care and helped us through some hard times with serious infections that Ron continues to have. They are all very caring and it means a lot to feel like that. You’re getting good care. I would highly recommend any of them for healthcare.

My visiting nurse Kim provides exceptional care and is very outgoing, which makes her visits well appreciated. She represents the highest standards of the nursing profession . She has been my visiting nurse for over 9 months. Please convey this review to her, so she knows how much she is appreciated. Edward Shapiro

TL;DR - This company is LIFE-THREATENINGLY NEGLIGENT! Avoid at all costs!! A loved one of mine was assigned this company for PICC line dressing changes, and in the 2-3 months we were with them every person that they sent to us was some combination of unqualified, incompetent, and unprofessional (sometimes all three). Some specific instances include: -> Repeatedly failed to follow basic sterile procedure (and frequently argued with the patient when this was pointed out to them) -> One "nurse" (who was actually an off-duty EMT so untrained in the procedure they were asked to perform) arrived in a dandruff-ridden T-shirt (i.e. no scrubs) and actually tried to touch an exposed catheter with their bare, unwashed hands -> Frequently rescheduled the weekly dressing change at the last minute, forcing the patient to go to an ER on multiple occasions in order to get it changed on schedule -> Their regional sales manager tried to strong-arm us into signing a $500-per-visit payment agreement for services that are fully covered by Medicaid; it took three phone calls to the company and extraordinary efforts by one of their accounting staff (the one good apple in the bunch that I met) to set it right -> Handled the catheter so roughly during dressing changes that in less than a month they pulled a full inch of it out of the patient's vein, so the patient had to go to an emergency room and have the entire catheter replaced -> At the beginning of service, advised the patient not to administer their prescribed infusion therapy because they incorrectly assumed that there had been a mistake on the formulation (note - we learned later that all formulations are triple checked by both an MD and a certified pharmacist before ever being made so the likelihood of a mistake is near zero); the nurse never followed up on why despite promising to investigate for us, and caused treatment to be delayed for a full week in a way that nearly lost the patient their health coverage ...and many more instances. Kim in particular was genuinely appalling - I've worked with hundreds of health care providers at all levels, and have never met one that was so breathtakingly unprofessional. She threw what can only be described as a temper tantrum (I genuinely wish I was exaggerating) after being politely asked not to unmask and use her iPhone IN THE MIDDLE OF A STERILE DRESSING CHANGE. Afterwards she began intentionally taking dangerous shortcuts in the patient's care, as if to punish the patient for it, and acted outright hostile whenever she wasn't being directly supervised. The only reason we didn't request a different nurse after all this is because she was the LEAST WORST in terms of actual nursing competency of the three nurses we were told were available in our region. It's genuinely a miracle that the patient didn't get sepsis through all of this. I contacted the supervisor on multiple occasions and was assured that these incidents were being taken seriously and that they would handle discipline and re-training internally to avoid future incidents. Nothing changed, and in one instance it make the behavior and performance of the Alliant nurse worse instead of better. TO ANYONE READING THIS - this post could easily be interpreted as just another rant by a jilted former customer. IT ISN'T. I assure you that I write this calmly and matter-of-factly; I just genuinely believe from our experience with Alliant that working with this company for home healthcare presents a potentially life-threatening risk to the patient. If at all possible, please seek home healthcare elsewhere.
