Let me just start by saying that no healthcare industry, is perfect. However, my experience with all of my nurses, especially my regular nurse, John have been absolutely wonderful. I am going through a very terrible and humbling time in my life, and every one of the nurses that has come to my house has been compassionate, professional, knowledgable, helpful and beyond patient with me, as this is not an easy situation. I can't thank you enough, John And Greg, who have come out numerous times to help me. And thank you to everybody else that supports them, because I know it takes an army to take care of a bunch of sick people. People need to be appreciative of everything Nurses do it is not an easy job. And we are lucky to have them!

I’m giving this place a one star because of the two horrible aides we have experienced and the aide supervisor, Melinda. She is horrendous. The two aides we had were terrible the first one that came, did 20 mins when she is expected to spend one hour and when I asked her to please stay she lied about how long she was there then I showed her on my phone she was mistaken since she called me when she wasn’t even at the house. She reported me to Melinda, the aide supervisor for asking her to do things for my FIL with her remaining time since she rushed him w 20 mins care. When Melinda called she tried to tell me we were not entitled to an aide because we also had a private aide since (he is 24/7 care). She was wrong. Melinda reluctantly agree to send another aide but that didn’t last long as you will read. Between the two of them they fabricated some lying BS to terminate my FIL’s aide service. I must say that our nurse John, PT Karen and OT Andrea were great. But Melinda cut my father in law off of services with a phone call that stated out with.. you aren’t going to like this but I’m terminating your services for non compliance”. I said what are you taking about She then said it was reported by the aide that I asked OUR worker who helps w my FIL to go take the trash out (his dirty diapers, wipes etc) as the trash truck came early that day and I didn’t want to miss the truck taking out his dirty trash. Actually, my 60 year old husband went to the room they were at and helped our worker hoyer my FIL to a chair while the aide stood there. Then my husband told him to go take the trash out and he would fill in while he did that, but the lying aide went and told the incompetent supervisor that she was left alone to care for my FIL (complete lie). At least this is Melinda’s version. So that is our non compliance, and reason Melinda called to cancel services. She should be fired. When the trash was taken out, Melinda’s aide was done with my FIL. Plus my husband was in the room w her and my FIL. Talk about a load of BS to cut this 85 year old Veteran Marines’ services which he is entitled from Medicare. Someone needs to oversee Melinda, she is the reason Western Connecticut Care has lost our case. And no one did anything to report Melinda, the aide supervisor. Greg, the nursing supervisor said my FIL could still have the nurse, PT and OT but we would lose the aide because he didn’t over see that department, even though there is 3 competent adults in the house to assist the aide when she comes and 3 people stated, she was not left alone when one person went to take my FIL’s trash out. Pretty sure Melinda was retaliated after the first aide fiasco. She cut off an 85 year old’s aide care for services he deserves and worked his many years paying into.

My dad had a stroke and was released from Norwalk Hospital after a week long stay. The hospital gave us this crappy agency to use (not sure why I SETTELED for them when I worked for another agency for 5 years in the past who actually care about patients) the staff here is rude and they don't care no compassion whatsoever (including that Greg guy who supposedly does the nurses schedule sometimes) They are all over the place and nurses call the night before to schedule you for next day. My dad desperately needs OT and he's been home since 12/11 and when I keep inquiring I keep getting the run around. Here we are over 2 weeks out of hospital and no OT help whatsoever. If I were you I'd chose another agency besides this mess of one!

Called to confirm visiting nurse appointment the day before scheduled day to come. Waited all day and no call and nurse never showed up for confirmed appointment. Spoke with nurse supervisor and got an apology for "mixup". The nurse scheduled to come was not even on duty the day she was supposed to come. Can't come for 2 more days even though visits are supposed to twice weekly. So a full week without a visit. Very poor health care, customer service and business practices. Just know that if you need a visiting nurse after you are discharged from the hospital, you do not have to settle for this company who is part of the Danbury Hospital "network". You can use a different agency of your choice. I am learning after very poor service from this "company".

I want to send out special thanks to our wonderful home care nurse, Julie-ann and the PT therapist, Kearns. Both these people helped my 93 yr.old mom recover at home after an accident due to to dementia. Julie-ann is patient, smart and very kind. Kearns is a ray of positive sunshine who gave mom a real mental boost! Thank you!
