In short, my experience was absolutely horrible! It's been nearly 40 hours since he passed away...not one phone call! No return call to his sister. After time home in hospice care, the decision was made to move him to a nursing home, where his final wishes not to go out all drugged up until he was in pain were totally ignored! By day 4 he could no longer eat or talk. What is so compassionate about starving someone to death in order to facilitate his death? After a week, the staff at the home were giving him drops of apple juice which he seemed to love when Deadly Dawn from hospice showed up and threw out his apple juice saying he may choke, yet upped his medication from 4 to 6 times a day, which were pills crushed up and mixed with water, given orally. But he couldn't have a couple drops of apple juice? Horrible people or maybe horrible policies, I don't know. But I will never refer this Hospice service to anyone! And will tell everyone to avoid this place.
