I am truly impressed with the exceptional services provided by Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County (VNHFC) in Wilton, CT. Having received in-home physical and occupational therapy from other facilities in the past, I can confidently say that nothing compares to the care and professionalism I've experienced here. The physical therapist, Jennifer, has been outstanding—efficient, disciplined, and no-nonsense, yet incredibly understanding of my husband’s challenges. She has tailored progressive exercises that have been crucial in helping him regain his strength. Her approach combines deep knowledge with empathy, which is reflected in the positive results we’re seeing. Jennifer’s 15+ years of experience with VNHFC are clearly evident in the exceptional quality of care she provides. I am equally impressed with Sarah, the occupational therapist. With more than 10 years at VNHFC, Sarah is highly skilled and provides excellent care with meticulous attention to detail. Deb T, the supervisor, has been incredibly responsive and supportive, ensuring our needs are met promptly and efficiently. In addition to their outstanding in-home care, VNHFC offers an invaluable Telehealth Program. This free service allows them to monitor vital signs and weight, transmitting the data directly to their office for forwarding to your doctor. It’s an essential tool for ensuring continuous care and peace of mind. It’s clear that VNHFC, now part of the Waveny LifeCare Network since January 2021, consistently upholds the highest standards of care. I am incredibly grateful for their dedication.

The physical therapy given to my mother was terrible. The physical therapist would come over and ask my mother if she wanted to exercise. Of course she would say no. Nobody wants to exercise, but she needed to and they could have come over and said 'we have to exercise now' and she would have exercised. The PT would then leave and sit in the driveway for an hour. The first CNA that came over after my mother being home for a week, I intended to go food shopping since I was unable to leave the house for a week, though had plenty of food to eat in the house, and the CNA told me she could only stay for 30 minutes because her child had a soccer game. I kept track of all the hours spent with my mother and called them when they told me PT would no longer be covered by Medicare and said you owe me X number of hours and I was told 'that's not the way we work'. I told them I was going to make a complaint to Medicare and they in turn called the state Social Services on me and I was investigated. No abuse or neglect was found in this household on my part and Social Services deemed the call to them as retaliatory for me telling them I was going to call Medicare. They told Social Services lies about me.
