BAYADA Home Health Care at Bayhealth in Dover, Delaware, has demonstrated an appalling lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic human decency in their treatment of patients. My experience with this company, particularly with their nurse Nicola, was nothing short of infuriating and deeply distressing. Rather than providing the compassionate, attentive care that home health patients desperately need, Nicola went out of her way to be dismissive, insensitive, and outright belittling. Instead of offering comfort and support, she made it her mission to make patients feel small, disregarded, and insignificant. Her complete lack of bedside manner and condescending attitude not only failed to provide proper care but actively caused emotional harm. What’s worse, this toxic behavior appears to be a reflection of the company’s overall culture. BAYADA’s leadership either turns a blind eye to these glaring issues or, even more concerning, enables them by failing to hold their staff accountable. When legitimate concerns are raised, they are met with indifference, empty reassurances, or outright dismissal. There is no sense of urgency to correct their employees’ behavior or ensure that their patients receive the dignity and care they deserve. A home health care agency should be a source of relief and support for patients and their families, but BAYADA Home Health Care at Bayhealth is the exact opposite. They have created an environment where patients are not only neglected but actively disrespected by the very people who are supposed to be caring for them. The company desperately needs a complete overhaul—starting with the removal of employees like Nicola, who have no business working in health care. I strongly urge anyone considering this company for their home health care needs to look elsewhere. Placing trust in BAYADA Home Health Care at Bayhealth is a mistake that could cost you or your loved ones not just peace of mind but also their well-being. Stay far away from this disgrace of a company.

I would not recommend BAYADA to anyone who values their time or their family's well-being. They show a complete lack of concern for patience and are dismissive when it comes to addressing issues. When concerns are raised, they simply brush them off without taking them seriously, which is both frustrating and irresponsible. Overall, it’s been a disappointing experience, and I can't trust them with anything that requires attention or care.

If you care about your loved one, seeking quality care and want them to be cared for like you would care for them, DO NOT send them here. They do not care about their patients and provide medical diagnosis’ that they are not qualified to provide. They are also extremely unprofessional and lack accountability. Would not recommend!

In the spirit of standing up for what’s right I can’t go on without giving testimony. I can’t speak for the company’s entire operations, but employees are the experience. My great aunt was receiving treatment from a BAYADA employ who flippantly “diagnosed” my great aunt with early onset dementia, at a time where she was experiencing extreme grief (due to a loss of a sister) and distress. This home healthcare aid had not had proper authorization or credentials to diagnose. And, even if she did— which she doesn’t— making a terse comment to someone when you could speak to family members is unacceptable. Being in the business of people; it’s not unreasonable to expect basic decency.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The care my grandmother received was mediocre at best. Her nurse, Nicola, carelessly told her she had early-onset dementia after asking a few basic questions—then immediately left without explanation or discussion. This so-called “diagnosis” was never confirmed by a doctor, and my grandmother was left devastated, especially after just losing her sister to dementia days prior. When I confronted Nicola, she apologized, but basic compassion and professionalism should not require correction. To make matters worse, when I sent a detailed email to Bayada about this disturbing incident, I received nothing but a one-line response from Diane, the clinical manager. That alone speaks volumes about their lack of care for patients and families. I would never trust this agency again—if you’re considering Bayada, look elsewhere.
