After hearing such horror stories about home healthcare in general, we were worried about finding good care for our dad, who was already difficult and stubborn; that is, until we found Aaron Burkett with All About You. Our mother had recently passed, and she did everything for our Dad, so without her, Dad was very lost. Aaron and Dusty drove all of the way to Dallas from Forney to meet with my sister and me in person for the initial meeting. We instantly felt much better about the whole situation. Marsha Williams and TaShonda Carter were the two All About You assistants who worked with our Dad. I do not have enough room to detail all the wonderful and amazing qualities of these two women and this company. Before All About You, our Dad was stubborn, depressed, and mostly stayed in his bed and pajamas. As such, he would forget to take his medications and his health began to rapidly decline. Once All About You started working with our Dad, he bounced back to his old self. It was incredible. One of the first nights Marsha came to work with our Dad, he told her all about our Mom and how much he missed her, and her meatloaf. That evening Marsha made him my mother's meatloaf. All About You, Marsha and TaShonda are now like family. They loved our father, they took care of him, they treated him with respect, and gave him his dignity back. When our father passed away in his apartment, TaShonda was with him. He initially had just passed out and wasn't breathing. TaShonda performed CPR on him until EMS arrived to try to revive him. While EMS was working on our Dad, TaShonda kept in close contact with both my sister (who was out of town) and me (I live 5 hours away) on the phone and cried with us when all of the attempts had failed. Also, while all of this was happening, both Marsha and Aaron came to my Dad's apartment to help. Because our father did not die under the direct supervision of a doctor (he died at his apartment), we had to go through a whole process before they would clear our Dad's body to be released to the Jewish Funeral Home. Aaron, Marsha, and TaShonda all waited at the apartment for over 5 hours until this was all complete so that our Dad would not be alone. They are like family to us now. If you want kindness, consideration, respect, true relationships, warmth, and a human touch, there is nowhere else you should go besides All About You. We love these guys, highly recommend them with unabashed enthusiasm and sincerity. 1,000,000.00 Stars!
