After 3 phone calls back to back from "Elite Home Health" today. They informed me that the reason that they have not brought the leg compression with the machine is because someone said that I was on hospice (which I have never been on hospice) & they put everything on hold. Then after looking further into it, the compression machine & leg wraps were denied with my insurance. The leg wraps are $90 per leg. This is after being told that the Elite Home Health was the BEST. They had initially told me that the machine was approved & now they have me on hospice. 😠 Needless to say, I have been pretty upset with this "BEST" Home Health company. They apparently can't keep their records straight so how are they taking care of their patients? 😡

My mom is home with me after 3 wks in hospital, tpn nourishment 24 hrs and ostemy bag. I had trouble with bag and Tammy RN superv came right out to help!! They are ALL awesome!! Natasha the RN, Johnny the aide and Alicia the PT. What a great company to deal with if necessary.

Avoid these folks if you can. They are incompetent. Hospital assigned them to me without asking (which is against the rules--I was supposed to be given a choice. Makes one wonder who they are paying off) They are understaffed and unable to provide adequate nursing care. I was on 3x day IV antibiotics. They couldn't figure out how to manage that and blamed me for not being able to manage drip IV (I'm 80 and not a nurse) My "nurse" couldn't draw blood although all RN's are qualified to do that which makes me wonder if she was an RN. She also couldn't troubleshoot my PICC line when it stopped working and sent me to the Emergency Room. Spent two days going back and forth to ER for a problem they should have been able to fix according to PICC nurse in ER. Clinical manager Tammy is unpleasant and wound up blaming me for everything that went wrong. Eventually she just avoided me. It was a disaster from day one. Don't let the hospital get away with assigning you to an agency that's not your choice.

Elite Home Health Care is one of the best health care facilities in Fort Lauderdale.(My opinion) I am currently getting the help I need as we speak.They have some amazing women that work there. Angela who is the scheduler,Anna who is the Intake Nurse.Carol my Occupational therapist.My Home Health Aide,Freida.Then there is Jennifer my Physical therapist who is the greatest most totally amazing person ever,you rock. I look forward to therapy.Thank you,to everyone.

Elite Home Health Services has been a Godsend to my mom and our family! The clinicians were amazing! They are extremely knowledgeable, personable, reliable & totally focused on my mom’s health and rehabilitation after her hospital stay. If something came up, I had direct access to the nurse (Cecelia), speech therapist, physical therapist (Lenny - you’re amazing!) and her occupational therapist (Kelly, you’re a rockstar!) cell phones that I could text or call. Even, the Area Manager, Keith was not only accessible, at nearly anytime of day/night, but he would call to see how my mom was doing, if there was anything we were unhappy with or could improve upon, and if there was so, he took care of it for us immediately! Not to mention how accommodating and friendly the office staff has been. I cannot recommend them enough! They even arranged for a nurse practitioner to come by as needed for an extra layer of care for my mom, (which was not only convenient, but needed at the time, plus it was also covered 100% by Medicare too) until we were able to get her back to see her regular doctor in his office. My mom has made an amazing improvement from where she was when she started. So much so, that she was discharged from Elite because she achieved all of her goals. So, even though we miss seeing all of her caregivers, we are so happy to have my mom and her health back and still doing so well! We still make sure that she does her aqua therapy exercises in the pool to maintain her strength & energy. We had no idea what Aqua therapy was and boy, did it make a difference for mom! Keith told us early on that Medicare Home Health is one of Medicare’s best benefits as it’s covered 100% and we would never receive a bill. He was absolutely correct. If you or someone you know has Home Care needs & is a Medicare recipient, I can’t recommend Elite Home Health Services high enough! Give them a call and let them know what your medical needs are and they will help you with getting everything you need. Keith even went to my moms doctors office and explained our situation and our request for help with my mom, and got her prescription for Home Health from her doctor, and was able to get a nurse out to my mom’s home by the next day. I can’t imagine he and the rest of the Elite staff would do anything less for anyone less. Sometimes you just know that certain people do what they do from their hearts and not just as their job!
