Used them for two weeks and their complete disregard for proper care almost resulted in my father having his toes amputated this past weekend. I lined them up so that after my father's biopsy he would have help putting on a bandaid with vasceline. Simple, right? Well, not only did they not come out as often as they promised, the office manager chalked it up to being her team member's fault saying, "Oh, Dino. Yeah, a recruiter. He's very new." Daily care wasn't going to happen but I said biweekly would have to work for now. They didn't even call me back week 2 to schedule. I called three times and had to beg for someone to come out. They told me it looked like he already had a viirtual visit that week. I told them (A) we are using them for wound care, how would that possibly work virtually when we hired them to do the physical part that an 88 year old can't do. (B) He has dementia, what exactly was the virtual conversation supposed to accomplish? (C) I am his medical POA and all of my contact info is listed. They don't even have his number. I couldn't even get a call back let alone a virtual conversation with someone. They just lie. Worst of all, I get Bettina's worthless self to come out; she puts the bandaid on and texts me verbatim "Good afternoon , This is Bettina the nurse with your Ascension homecare. I just saw your dad and added a foam padding to the site for cushions but he has an ingrown toe nail on the same toe as the biopsy was done that is also causing pain, does he have a podiatrist he can see to get his nails cut." I call a Podiatrist out within the next two hours and she calls me in a panic that he has a massive infection that looks like it's spreading up his leg. See the pictures attached and let me know if it takes a home health expert to tell if something is wrong. I called her and she says, "well, I did say it's a little red." I told her a little red and get his toe nails cut is a bit different from the "rush him to the ER" call I got from the Podiatrist. I had even talked to Bettina on the phone after her initial text and she had no urgency in her message at all. My Dad was in the hospital Friday - Sunday and almost had to get his toes amputated. That's really what you want for your loved one at the end of their long, successful, happy life all because of the incompetence of one company. Worst of all, I put in 3 calls to Daisy at the office to talk about the egregious level of mistreatment and not one call back. They were screening my calls and I had to call on my work cell to get through to someone. Still no call back. Most likely because they are worried I'm filing a medical malpractice suit, which I still might. Book with anyone else. Centerwell was nice and Alivia has been great so far. Levels above Ascention.

I recently had a hip replacement and Beyond Home Health Services made my recovery so much easier. They coordinated the services I needed so I only had one place to deal with. I had a nurse who was excellent and made me feel so comfortable about possible issues. There was an Occupational Therapist whom I only needed once but who provided information that really helped me with dressing myself and doing things around the house. The Physical Therapist was really incredible and got me doing exercises quickly that decreased my overall time to get back on my feet. I was walking a mile in steps within a week. I live alone and the nurses aid was critical to helping me shower and doing helpful things for me around the house. I was pleased that this service was available to me and really made a difference in my recovery.
