I have needed home health for about 6 months and have been using Baptist Home Health Care By BAYADA for around 4 months... The quality of care that you get is like a game of Russian roulette, some employees are amazing, and some make errors that can be life-threatening to your health... Carol, a nurse that has came out frequently, she is amazing and always follow sterile technique when accessing my port; she is knowledgeable and experienced. I absolutely love when Carol comes out. However, the same cannot be said for some of the other nurses. Lenore came out after my most recent hospitalization to complete the paperwork required to resume services. Lenoir did not properly document my medications or submit the PDF copy I had to the office so somebody could. From what many of the other nurses have told me, this is a frequent problem if it is a part-time or contract nurse that comes out to start care, so this is not an isolated incident. WHAT IS MOST CONCERNING AND A RISK TO PATIENTS LIFE is when Lenore was preparing to access my port, she did not follow sterile technique, repeatedly put sterile gloves on items outside of the sterile field including her lap. I had to explain 3+ different times that her hands were no longer sterile and she would need to change her gloves. If she had said something to the effect of, "I don't know what I was thinking, sorry" I would chalk it up to everybody makes mistakes. However, she genuinely did not understand why she was no longer sterile and had to change her gloves. Each time I explain to her why, her response was, "yeah, I guess that makes sense" which was quite alarming because somebody that knows and understands how to do sterile dressing changes would not have been confused or not understand the significance of touching something that is not sterile before touching medical equipment in my body that has direct access to my heart. She even thought a pair of gloves that had been in a sterile kit a few weeks ago, but she didn't use them and had them in her car, we're still sterile... I had to explain to her yet again why they are not sterile gloves anymore because they left the sterile field and have been in her car. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE... When I called to report this to the office, they simply said that they would document that she was no longer allowed to come to my house. I explained that I wanted to file a complaint, and was asked multiple times if I was sure. I told the woman I was positive, and she told me that somebody would be in touch... It's now two weeks later and nobody from the office or management has reached out. I know the office is having high turnover and is poorly staffed at the moment, but failing to reach out about a high-risk concern that could jeopardize a patient's life is dangerous. SINCE POSTING PUBLICLY ON HERE, EMAILING CORPORATE, AND YELP... THE AREA DIRECTOR HAS GOTTEN INVOLVED AND I AM QUITE CONFIDENT THAT A LOT OF THESE ISSUES ARE GOING TO BE DEALT WITH AND ADDRESSED IN A PROPER MANNER. I WILL UPDATE MY REVIEW FURTHER AS THINGS CHANGE, HOPEFULLY FOR THE BETTER.

Run from this company! Do not entrust them to take care of your Family member. ZERO proactive communication, ZERO follow through. No show for appointments. If I could have given a ZERO rating, I would have because that's how pathetic this company is.
