Every time I call asking for help for my mother, the answer is always the same: “there are no funds, try again next month.” My mother’s case is extremely complex, we have no family support, and we don’t receive any type of assistance. I work three jobs just to keep us afloat, which means my mom is left alone and unattended most of the time. I’ve been calling for months, and they don’t even let me explain the full situation. I have no idea what criteria they use to determine priority if they don’t even allow people to speak. It is outrageous that a system meant to protect and support the most vulnerable treats those who truly need help this way. What should be a service based on compassion and humanity has turned into a wall of refusals and excuses. This is not about “trying again next month”, this is about the life and wellbeing of a person who needs urgent care. The lack of response and empathy is unacceptable.

Their staff is very rude and will hang up on you repeatedly for no reason while trying to get homecare. The communication is terrible.
