Debbie Taylor is the best nurse I've ever met. She sincerely cares about my health. Michelle Sapp had been my physical therapist, to she is also amazing. I have also seen Ryan and Isaac. Legacy home health is the best

Legacy has the most caring, dedicated nurses of any agency. I could not vouch for this agency enough and would not trust ANYONE but them with my father and grandparents. They are truly a joy and our community is blessed to have them.

I am only giving Legacy Home Health Care One Star, because, I can't give them ZERO. I had one of the worst experiences of my life, dealing with this company. I called the "Legacy" phone number, and they connected me to a "Karen." I was told, she was the Office Manager in the Starke, Florida office. I had called, simply, to talk to someone about my proper supplies not being ordered in a timely manner. (That is ALL.) Little did I know, my request, made to expedite my proper supplies, was turned from a molehill into a mountain. I was lied against, by my nurse, Jennifer Chesser, AND gaslighted, by Karen Crook. After being admitted to the hospital, (for open wounds on my legs, that would weep around a 1/2 cup of lymphatic fluid every 20 minutes,) my first Legacy Home Health Care nursing visit began on February 2, 2024, with Jennifer Chesser, (RN.) From February 2nd, through to April 1st, Legacy AND Jennifer Chesser, continually, cut corners, never ordering me the proper supplies I needed. THEY KNEW THE EXACT PRODUCTS I NEEDED, TOO, BECAUSE, I HAD ASKED FOR THEM, REPEATEDLY, FOR MONTHS. I had used the product for the previous nine months, under Amedysis Home Health's care. (I was discharged from Amedisys on December 28th, 2023, when my wounds healed up. However, I was admitted to the hospital, one month later, when they reopened.) On April 1st, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, my nurse, FINALLY, showed up with three boxes of the proper compression bandage leg wraps. (This was NEVER a matter of Legacy not being able to access the product.) I had developed a friendly rapport with my nurse, and THOUGHT we were friends. So, when my Medicare survey arrived in the mail, to rate her AND Legacy, I, not wanting to get her in any trouble, only stated, "Legacy should have a contract with "Medline," so there won't be any more of the constant delays I have been experiencing, with Legacy." I gave my nurse "flying colors," ONLY BECAUSE, I THOUGHT WE WERE "FRIENDS," and I didn't want to get her in any trouble, even though, I DID HAVE PROBLEMS WITH HER. For one, in addition to not ordering me the proper supplies, my home nurse was NOT "Wound Care Certified," and didn't know how to, properly, wrap a patient's leg. (My ankle would often end up being exposed, because of her improper wrapping.) I even gave her THE ACTUAL DIRECTIONS OFF THE BOX on "How To Wrap A Leg," and she said, "I thought I WAS doing this." I didn't have the guts to say, "No, you aren't." (I don't like confrontation, AT ALL, and I avoid it, at all costs.) She, ALSO, HAS NO CLUE, "the less amount of layers around a wound, the better, for healing." (I learned this, from my previous "Wound Care Certified" nurse, at Amedysis.) SO, AGAIN, A SIMPLE REQUEST TO EXPEDITE MY PROPER SUPPLIES, WAS, COMPLETELY, TURNED AROUND, ON ME. I put in a complaint about how my supplies weren't being ordered for months, and the next day, I got the strangest text from my nurse. It said, "I heard from another nurse you made a complaint about me, and I spoke to my supervisor, and we're discharging you from Legacy's care." I was shocked, because, I had NEVER spoken one bad word about her, EVER. SOMEONE lied, and I believe it was my nurse. I can only imagine why. Was it because, she didn't want to come to my home appointments, because, they were later in the day? I will never know "why," because, SHE IGNORED ALL OF MY TEXTS. I, immediately, texted her, "I NEVER EVER SAID ANYTHING BAD ABOUT YOU, NOR WOULD I," (even though, I could have.) She never arrived on some days, when she was supposed to, saying she, "mixed up her days," and more. Another terrible thing she did to me, was say, (in my discharge text,) she "was bringing over two boxes of (24 count) soft gauze rolls," to my home, which I had, ALSO, been, desperately, waiting on. I WAITED ALL DAY, AND ALL NIGHT, FOR HER TO COME WITH THEM, AND SHE NEVER SHOWED UP. The nurse told Karen, she had "brought them over to me, and left them on my porch," too, WHICH WAS ANOTHER LIE, and more manipulation.

I have been in the healthcare industry for over 28 years. The LEGACY HOME HEALTH CARE company exceeds expectations for the wellbeing of their patients. They have TOP NOTCH CAREGIVERS & OFFICE STAFF that truly want to assist the patient's needs and thus enable them to remain in the home setting. I wish I would have had this opportunity for my own mother several years ago. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
