The new Florida Gainesville branch has been a nightmare. They dont train their staff to know rules and laws of how it works with hha's (parents getting paid to care for their kids), we frequently had to fight for up to 3 hours on the phone to be allowed to be added to the schedule. Parents are allowed to clock 8hrs a day, adding up to 40hrs a week. Our 2 babies are eligible for 56 hours a week... so when 1 baby is home we can do 8hrs a day, 7days a week (as long as neither parent goes over 40 hours). It was impossible to get everyone to understand this. (1 of our twins is in the hospital, alot). When both babies are home, we each just clock 40 hours because there is no 3rd adult in our home to get certified as an hha in order to work the other 16 hours per kid. Simple. Connie Dunn learned this and was up front with us and communicative, but the turn over is so frequent with this company that we were dealing with new people, weekly... Ashley Wheeler ended up taking over for Connie Dunn, Ms. Wheeler lied incessantly to our nurse, myself, and my husband... the conversations were, of course, discussed and heard on speaker phone between us. Then a new lady named Annalise got hired on to help Ms. Wheeler... her very 1st recertification was walked through by Ms. Wheeler, and it was for our son Aristotle. They did no telehealth, the falsified the recert, they got heart surgeries wrong, he has no medical equipment that was mentioned in the recert... they even said he doesnt go to a PPEC due to immunology issues, which is a lie. He doesnt have immunology issues. Those are just 3 of the things that were inaccurate on the recert... they couldve done a telehealth, we couldve told them truths and facts... we had no nurse on that day, so they definitely didnt get info from the 1 nurse they staffed us with before deciding that they didnt need to staff us anymore. Our kids qualify for 24/7 nursing care. We have 1 nurse 3 days a week 7am-7pm. They will lie, they wont communicate, you will fight for whats legally yours, and no amount a hick charm and country drawl will make it a professional branch to this lovely company that these folks have ruined. They do "satisfaction reviews", which we have done now 5... the last 3 were calls from their new scheduler Chaslind. She, being of normal ability and professionalism, is the best thing going for this branch... we have always given 1 star for our satisfaction report and explained why, but no one has ever cared until now. But guess who they had call us about our dissatifaction? ...Ashley Wheeler. ... dont waste your time with this company there are atleast 2 better companies in the area: Nurses of Ocala, and AtlantiCare.... they both offer the hha certification. Save yourself the headache and anger. Those 2 companies also have better nurses because they pay their nurses better and vet them better. Your payrate for hha will remain the same no matter what company youre with, $15/hr... $18/hr if youre charting 2 kids. Just save yourself the drama, medical parents dont need this added b.s. I hear the Orlando branch is much better... i wish we had gotten them... we live closer to Orlando, but their zoning map had us with Gainesville :( se la vie though... im glad thats behind us.

This place and the staff that works there definitely deserves more credit than what’s given. Definitely deserves 5-star and beyond. The Orlando Angels Of Care team go above and beyond for their patients and the families. Regardless of who they are, the kids that come here will get taken care of by Alex and Audrey along with nurses on the team. I’ve never met a team more committed to quality care. Even the small things like greetings, scheduling, staffing, hours. I’ve been very impressed with the care my boy gets. They definitely deserve more credit.

If you’re coming home from the NICU with a medically complex child, I strongly urge you to avoid this company. Alex and Audrey failed our family in every way—communication was poor, and even the nurses they sent felt uninformed and unsupported. We received no training or help transitioning from hospital to home, and most of the nurses sent were unqualified. When we raised concerns or declined certain nurses, we were pressured to accept them anyway. Eventually, the company just stopped trying to find us help, claiming no nurses were available—yet we later learned that qualified nurses had been asking for work and were ignored. Even when we reported serious safety concerns like nurses falling asleep, the company was dismissive and blamed us. This agency does not care about families or medically fragile children. Do not trust them with your child’s care.
