I’m so glad that the person in my family was not critical. I am a person that tries to keep business relationships simple. I ask that a home health care agency provide a reasonable amount of time, 24- 48 hours ahead of time to make appointments so I can have my family member ready on time. Be ready for the appointment that is scheduled to maximize the benefits of the visit. This nursing company was calling the night before for the next day’s appointment. Many times we had other doctors visits scheduled. When we would finally make an appointment that mutually worked, the medical person was not on time or the appointment was cancelled the day of with no alternative . This is very unprofessional and not considerate of a caregiver’s time. In the end,. I decided against working with this home health organization.

I wish I had read reviews before hiring them. The whole company is trash the lady who answers the phone, the manager, and all the therapists are trash. They take your money from insurance and don't send people out. How everyone is on vacation at the same time? I regret using them for sure.

0 stars!! DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They are bottom-of-the-barrel and absolutely HORRIBLE home health agency I have ever worked with. Nothing is consistent with regard to patient visits and their office, who is responsible for scheduling visits DO NOT CARE about their patients. They have missed whole weeks, sometimes back-to-back weeks with no PT/OT visits. I despise them and regret ever entrusting them to provide care for my mother. Find another company!!! Save yourself aggravation. They wasted so much time-time we cannot get back. I’m sure had I never chose them, my mother would be further in her rehabilitation.

This is by far the worst home health company I have ever been connected to.. If I could give it zero stars I would! My grandmother is currently a patient and I can't tell you how many different people they have sent into her home. There is absolutely zero communication between staff or with families. Each new nurse comes in and has no idea what the wound care orders are and each nurse separately has asked what happened. When you are seeing a patient that you don't know your number one job is to read the orders and read the chart info and notes! I am a hospice nurse... I know the routine! Nurses schedule visits and never show up. On call is snotty and rude. Physical therapists made inappropriate jokes about my grandma's home, The fact that she has money, and about how she needed a pedicure. We had three different physical therapists come and each one of them told her to do completely different things and said how the previous one was doing it wrong! There has been only ONE nurse that was outstanding! And she isn't even an amedisys employee she is a contract nurse.. We preemptively called and told the office on a Tuesday may 28th my grandmother was about to be out of wound care supplies. The woman I spoke with told me she ordered the supplies during our phone call. May 29th Nan(the nurse) came the next day and told me that she had just ordered the supplies and they would be here Friday or Saturday.. 3 days had been the normal delivery time frame since our admission to this company.cool, great. Fast forward to Monday. 6days after my initial call with the office when I was told supplies were ordered. They blamed it on FedEx. I reached out to the contract nurse that we had a great experience with and let her know what was going on. She went to her director personally and let them know we requested to have her back. She came out on Tuesday ordered supplies for my grandmother and they arrived the next day!... We just so happen to get two packages at the same time One packing slip said that it was ordered by Nan... On Monday THE 3RD...6 days after she told me that she put in the order for supplies!. I was called last night by the nurse and she scheduled a time to see my grandmother for today. Here it is 5:30 p.m. and my grandma's calling me letting me know that nobody showed up! AGAIN!

I WOULD NOT let a pet rock be serviced by this company if it needed rehab. I was referred to this company and setup to do PT, I am disabled. Scheduling is completely discombobulated, they showed up at my home several times with zero forewarning. Today the physical therapist incorrectly went to my neighbor's home first after having already been to my home. I went into the hospital last week, told the physical therapist I was in the hospital and he showed up at my home the next day regardless, when I wasn't home. He seemed far more concerned that he get in his visit than that I was in the hospital. Today this PT, who I believe is fairly senior within the organization, told me I don't need physical therapy and that I should get a personal trainer. As a former athlete who worked with personal trainers regularly, I wish that was the case. He criticized and negated orders from my cardiologist, neurosurgeon, pain doc who treats me for my back and insinuated that my back is fine. Oddly when my back acts up and I'm in agony I can't walk, but according to their physical therapist I'm just honky dory and treating me would be fraudulent. I guess neither my docs nor their interpretation of imaging is correct. Ha! That came after the therapist said that prior companies that treated me when I couldn't walk (after/during being mostly bedridden for a year+) likely committed fraud, that I wasn't a candidate for home health despite being mostly housebound and disabled. The therapist discussed his aching back, his wife, kids, the "odd taste in art" we have and everything except how to get me better. I felt like I had entered the twilight zone and asked the therapist to leave. There was another therapist who came and she was a delight and actually went over exercises and behaved in a professional way. She did show up one day unannounced. Unfortunately, I believe that the one I believe behaves like a know-it-all is her superior. I believe it's a huge liability fora physical therapist to contradict the advice of medical doctors. I could go on and on, that's the tip of the iceberg, but I won't put you through the bizarre experience I went through. I'd recommend to run, not walk, away from this company. And if you need help to run or walk, like I do, I'd definitely recommend going elsewhere. If zero stars was an option, that's what I would've rated this organization.
