I would give this company a 0 star if it was available. Horrible communication between nurses. They lost our blood work. This company and they rarely have nurses available to fill the schedule days clie t needs. We are going to file a complaint with the hospital, who recommend them.

When a patient gets in-home health, any recurring medical supplies that have to be ordered and covered by insurance HAS to get ordered from home health. This particular Amedisys branch is absolutely horrible with responsiveness and communication (I have dealt with other Amedisys locations and they were great - not here!). My family member has been without medical supplies and only having them inconsistently ordered. This has caused her to have to pay out of pocket hundreds of dollars (and she has very limited resources) for supplies her insurance would have covered if Amedisys Duluth did their job! Shameful!

Poor communication on all ends. I get all the nurses and specialists work on their own schedules, but they’ll call you a day before they show up, set the time and then either no show or show up over an hour late. The office is on a whole different page, all the stuff they say never aligns with what anyone else is saying. It’s been over a month and we were expecting 4 different individuals to stop by, and only one person showed up after I had to follow up twice. Please go to any other agency than this one. It’ll save you time and frustration.

These people contact you the day they want to come, 1-2 hours prior, vs. providing a few days' notice. If services need to be halted for a bit, they have multiple people contact you instead of taking proper notes indicating that services cannot be conducted at the time. I'm of the opinion they are only in this for the money vs. truly helping people. Texting is convenient for them until you need to change something. Then suddenly, texts claim to have not been received even though they show as delivered. Very disappointed in this company and the hospital's decision to use them.

I had my left hip replaced in Dec 2018 and had a very quick recovery with Advanced Orthopaedic Services as my home PT provider. I was back on the dance floor in 6 weeks! In Feb 2019 I had my right hip replaced and had a horrible experience with just 2 home PT visits from TLCHC dba Staff Builders Home Health, Amedisys. Mike didn't know what the hell he was doing and had I not had a hip replaced previously I wouldn't have known the damage he was doing! He was completely unprepared for my first home visit stating that I didn't need to do PT on the first visit. I told him that I had been doing PT the day after surgery and did PT every day with my left hip and that it was recommended by my dr. I had to show him a list of the exercises from my previous surgery to do PT with him that day. I made the poor decision of allowing him to come back for a second visit. At that visit he brought in his own list of exercises. He had me doing straddled lunges, squats on a foam pad..... all sorts of exercises that I wasn't permitted to do until 3-4 weeks after my last surgery. But I was on a lot of medication and it didn't occur to me he was causing damage. I had to stop before we got through the list because it was so painful. My pain continued to escalate for 3 days! I fired him. The next week I paid out of pocket for my previous home PT person to come to my house for PT. She was astonished at the exercises he had me doing. It took a couple of weeks just to get back to the mobility I had before his second visit. Run! Do not use this company.
