⭐ 1-Star Review My mother, Margaret Mimbs, passed away in May 2025 under the care of Enhabit Hospice — and what my family experienced was heartbreaking and inexcusable. Nurses were unreliable, medications were delayed, and communication was poor throughout her time with them. In her final days, her comfort medications (morphine and Valium) were missing, and I was shockingly instructed by a nurse over the phone to crush and administer my father’s leftover hydrocodone to her using a syringe. I was forced to take on roles no grieving daughter should have to. I’ve filed formal complaints with the Georgia Department of Community Health, who confirmed an active investigation and a site visit. I’ve also contacted the Georgia Board of Nursing, CMS, and other oversight agencies. Hospice care should be compassionate, consistent, and dignified. Enhabit Hospice failed my mother and left our family traumatized. I share this to help others make informed choices and to demand better for families facing end-of-life care decisions.

Only posting one star because negative stars are not an option. Only good thing I have to say is about the nurses that come out to care for my wife. The nurses have all been professional and seem to actually care about their patient. Beyond that, the experience with Enhabit has been sorely lacking. Today (12 Sept 2023) , I called during business hours to request a nurse visit to correct a serious condition. My wife is recovering from a major back surgery and infected wound, with a woundvac device placed over the surgery site to drain and close the wound. The woundvac bandaging malfunctioned this morning and therefore the system has been essentially inoperative all day. The person who answered the call at Enhabit told me that no nurses were available ... (REALLY!!!!????). I was told that it would likely be tomorrow (13 Sept 2023) before a nurse could come out...but that my concerns would be passed along to the nurse to see if they could help somehow. Tonight, I called Enhabit back to request assistance again, since no help ever showed up. Previous to this incident, there was an instance where the doctor had ordered labs to be drawn by the nurse, but the nurse never received those instructions from the Enhabit office. I had to call the Enhabit office to inquire why labs were not drawn, and upon realizing their error, Enhabit sent the nurse back to draw the labs. So the moral to this story is this: If the healthcare of yourself or your loved ones is important to you, be wary of this company.

The only reason I’m giving a one is because that’s the only way I could write a review.my mom has been with this company for over a year now we have only had two lpn that came out and knew what they was doing.my mom is completely bed bound they sent a man out to change her catheter ( which we stated several times we did not want) he didn’t have a clue what he was doing so now my mom is left using the bathroom on herself this is the 4th time this has happened and when I call for them to come fix the mistake they made the lady tells me they have to contact my insurance company to make sure they will pay. My thing is if the company didn’t do the job right the first time why should insurance pay again it’s just not right and I feel they could care less about there patients. This is my moms bag two hours after being inserted no urine what so ever in the bag.SO I SAY THIS AGAIN THEY NEED MORE TRAINING.

I am currently using this company and so far I’m am not pleased at all. The one review states that they are prompt. That’s just the opposite. We have to wait hours before someone comes. This is day 3 for us and every time we have called it’s been been at least 5-6 hours before we see anyone. We are still doing the majority of the work and care. We called them for help and we are certainly not getting very much of that so far.
