I did not think I wanted to participate in this program but agreed to try it. In no time I recognized all the advantages of working with these folks. The were professional, prompt, knowledgeable, compassionate, and helpful. I would not hesitate to work with them again. They made it easy to welcome strangers into my home. It seems evident that they truly care about their patients. I am finished with their services and I already miss them. Thank you Home Health Professionals! Until we meet again! :-)

My mother was non responsive one night but she was still breathing. The paramedics came and did all they could. One of them suggested we call hospice. The hospice worker came out the next morning and evaluated our situation. They explained everything to me and our needs were met for the next few days until my mom passed. All the workers that came in were extremely nice, courteous and professional. It was a true joy and blessing to have them come into my home and assisst in my mom's last few days.

I am sharing my experience with horizon home health from the caregiver and home owner perspective. The intake nurse was wonderful as were most of the people they sent out. The person assigned to be the regular nurse was pushy and abrasive always trying to get more visits than needed or wanted by the client. All the decisions made regarding client were made at her request and every one of those was questioned and argued with. My main complaint with horizon was the lack of communication between the office and the staff. I would call in to tell them we had a dr appointment and someone would still show up. This happened right up to when we went with a different company. That call to the office manager did not go well as she was rude and difficult. I had to wake client for her to tell them we no longer required their services. There was no attempt to make things right or fix the problem. They seemed to be under the impression that I was making all the decisions regarding her care. I would not recommend this company to anyone until they fix the problems in their office.

Horizon Hospice was truly fantastic! This was my dad’s second experience with hospice care, and the level of compassion and professionalism he received was exceptional. The nurses were kind, attentive, and communicated clearly with our family every step of the way. I would 100% recommend Horizon. Rick, Marta, Leslie, Chris, Gabrielle, Loretta, Carey, Tracy, and Sharon, as well as the on-call nurses were all ABSOLUTELY AMAZING with Dad and with our whole family! I also want to highlight the Aftercare service—Alison was incredibly helpful and put my mind at ease during a stressful time. She explained everything clearly and even made a few important notifications on our behalf, which I appreciated. Their support made all the difference.

Horizon Health Care & Hospice get 5 stars from me. I had total shoulder replacement surgery one month before my husband’s passing. There was no way I could take care of him any longer one armed. The hospice nurses, Sharon, Heather, Keira, Trinda, and bath aide Ozry were exceptional. The Social Worker Rick was so good at finding a home for my husband at Olena’s Care Home. She’s a saint for the care she gives. Thanks so much to all for their compassion & empathy.
