Angie with Elite Home Health saw my mom during a hospital stay and suggested HOSPICE while the entire family was in the room, and to my mother, without consulting with my mothers medical team or cancer team first. Angie essentially convinced my whole family, including my mother, that hospice was the best next move. This was not correct! I had recently talking to my mother’s cancer team and they were NOT recommending hospice. My mom is much better now, receiving immunotherapy that she so desperately needed, and we are moving her OUT of this state to be home with family. Do not trust Elite. Get a second opinion. Make sure they know what they’re talking about and have consulted your loved one’s medical team. Angie owes us all an apology. She did a lot of damage telling my mom to go on hospice and we’ve had to all work to undo that damage. She lied about where my mom’s cancer was- it was not and is not in her bile duct. Horrifying experience.
