I was directed by the Dept. of Aging to contact this office to have an assessor come out to evaluate my brother and mom for in-home care, that would be provided by me, as I was already registered with Help at Home. After an over-the-phone interview that lasted an hour+ and the assurance that an in-home assessor would be dispatched to my home in 12-14 days following that call but no one was ever sent. After I called to follow up with the agent who took the info over the phone (Shangyne), she assured me that someone would call me back that same day (2/5/24) but no one ever did. When I called her back on 2/6/24, she suddenly stated there was nothing she could do, told me that MAYBE an assessor would call JUST to confirm if there was anyone they could dispatch perhaps in the near future (March..June...July...August perhaps??). I had to get the Dept. Of Aging involved. This agency is completely IRRESPONSIBLE!
