Diana is the best PT! She is so positive, professional and helpful. She was here the full hour and was so kind. She loved our dogs and really gave me a good workout. She even got our mail. So sweet. We had a wonderful experience with our team through Astra. My husband was bedridden for months after fighting a lung disease. With help from our nurse, OT and PT he was able to get back to normal activity. Our nurse taught me how to take his blood sugar properly and got us on track after his hospital discharge. Every visit was on time and well communicated to me, his primary caregiver. Our OT gave us lots of helpful information on how to move about that house in those first scary weeks back at home. We are forever grateful to Astra's team for helping us get our life back.

Astra Home Health set my mother up with everything she needed after she was released from the hospital. It was a very stressful time and they made it easy! Everything was extremely professional from the first welcome phone call, to scheduling and everything in between. All of the staff from Admin to Occupational and Physical therapists were great! We would higly reccomend them and using them in the future!

Astra took great care of my mother after her surgery. The Nurse Heather was so friendly and supportive with her wound care needs. The representative that came to her hospital room at St. Alexis Hospital was very knowledgeable and explained how home healthcare works and the nexts steps in the process, she even showed us the workbook that the nurse brought to the house when she came to start her therapy & nursing program (very useful for our family to know what was happening with mom). We highly recommend Astra! They are 5 star with all aspects.

Unfortunately Astra does not have nurses to cover the Northwest Suburbs anymore. They did agree to service my mother before she was released from the hospital, but never followed up. After at least 4 phone calls from myself and the case manager (8 total) from the hospital, I was told there was no nurse available. They never reached out to inform me. We have used them in the past and the RN was very basic. Check blood pressure, oxygen, order labs and supplies. No physical manipulation of the patient whatsoever. That was done by our PCT for her. The nurse was having a difficult time reading the discharge papers and finding the page numbers so I assisted. But, she was very kind and called often while my mom was in the hospital. It seemed like and easy position for a RN. Its a shame they dont have nurses anymore.
