Does not even deserve 1 star! My dad finally agreed to have home health to get stronger after a couple falls. Nurse Julie came in and the first visit promised appropriate care unfortunately she didn’t follow through with care. Her next visits averaged about 10 minute visit (this is not a billable visit by Medicare standards) and asking if she needed to do wound care because she is in a hurry to get to her pickle ball game! Walks into a visit and just asks to sign her visit paper and falsely bill for services she was not actually providing. Told my mom she needed to call the VA and order wound care supplies but Nurse Julie didn’t provide a list of any supplies that were needed. Never took pictures of the wound and when my dad had a follow up with his doctor they looked at his leg and asked why the wound care nurse was not coming out 3 times a week like he ordered and they claimed they didn’t get that order! The doctor had to call and say they need to come out like ordered to prevent an infection! Nurse Julie claimed there was a miscommunication and needed to start coming out to teach how to do wound care. Guess my mom that isn’t nurse knows better than nurse Julie to actually clean the wound not just slap a gauze on it and hope for the best. The therapist had more promise and actually did a full visit then no called no showed for the next one. Only called after questioning the nurse why the therapist didn’t show up is when the therapist called and had an excuse for why he no called no showed. When I called and asked why they were not giving care the director stated they don’t have to follow Medicare guidelines for my dad because he is a VA patient. Guess they thanked him for his service for providing the bottom of the barrel service. Not sure why they took him on as a patient if they don’t have the compassion or skill set to provide the care needed.

My father in law had home health care/physical therapy with Regency and is doing much better now. The scheduling was easy and the therapists were all very nice and very good with him. He has dementia so he isn't always easy to work with, but they were great.

Regency Home Health Care nurses and staff are skilled and showed patience will assisting my aunt in her transition from the hospital to home. Their goal was exceeded in making sure she was comfortable and had an understanding of her limitations. I would recommended this agency for those in need of specialized care at home.

Regency Home Health Care provided great rehabilitation for my parent. It was scary at first because my mom was a high fall risk. The PT made her feel comfortable with his strength and education on working on with high fall risk patients. I recommended for my in-law and they were just as satisfied.

The supervisor Lawanda who I’ve worked with is unprofessional, outside of her favorite phrase of, “I don’t care”, she truly shows it when you call. The conversation is not private, she answers all her calls on speaker phone. So, all types of HIPPA violations seeing we are talking patient care but maybe it’s just me. 1.5 out of the 4 people I’ve been sent only 1.5 were good. - First person, no complaints, why because she takes care of my uncle like he’s hers. She takes the time to speak with him and see what he likes. She baths him and get him dress with ease. I shared my practices of dressing him and she shared her, and we created a dream team care plan! Too bad she only can work weekends now but she is the GOAT of patient care. They should have her lead their training instead of that 2 hour video that don’t teach them nothing. They need hands on experience or dummies to practice on for patient care. - They sent me a lady scared of her own shadow, literally, I would not kid, it was something I never saw before. She came to work for two days and never came back. I had to call the agency to see what was going on, again, the client should not have to call to see why services are not taking place, not to mention, the family is depending on this service to provide a living but again, Lawanda does not care, her words, not mine. - They sent me a certified CNA, that was 9 months pregnant, and of course, everything you asked her to do, she would stand there, rub her belly and then say she could not. But you know what she could do, sit on her phone and talked to her dad about her anxiety in having her 4th child and speak with unemployment trying to file her claim. She left the kitchen dirty for 4 days, she washed one spoon, bowl, and skillet each day while the rest of his dishes sat there. He’s the only person that is cooked for at this house. She was just over lazy and should have never been sent to a client. - My last person, who was just ripped away with no notification. He was at work yesterday but not today. No notification or anything. I reach out, and he’s now the agency’s official driver which his great for him but again, I don’t read minds, and no one is here with my uncle until she finds a replacement which means, I cannot go out and earn a living, they don’t care, and it shows! My only compliant with him, and it is the agency’s fault. My uncle requires a person who can cook and clean. He could clean with instructions but there was no cooking, so I had to readjust again. Rob would have benefited from having a dummy or a live patient to work with before sending him in the field. I commend him because she walked to work every morning and was not late. Hats off for that type of dedication. All this has taken place within a year. I’ve decided that this agency is just not worth it and to look elsewhere for people who actually care while in a patience care environment. Basically I learned, if you want something done right, do it yourself...challenge accepted!
