Bad experience: inconsistent service, no return calls, no followup. I received very good services for several months, then the nurse stopped cutting my nails-- claimed she never had (?) but said her service could arrange for a podiatrist, also covered by medicare/insurance. That was fine but they offered me a date that didn't work, I called back; they kept promising but no followup. The nurse was wonderful, but she could not keep a weekly schedule; she does not drive, so relies on a driver, and has to cover clients across the entire city.. After continuing problems I called to request a change. They sent the second nurse, but she came without an advance appointment. I apologized but had a business appointment so had to turn her away. I called the Apex manager, she promised to get someone, but did not call back. I called again; no call back. The third or fourth time I called she t blamed my changing the first nurse and then cancelling the second; then she admitted they had only two nurses, both of whom served the entire city, North and South.. (This may be an understaffed franchise that is failing in the very competitive Chicago market; I don't hear of these problems from people using other services).
