The staff at HSU has been great to work with. My dad has been in assisted living since January 2020. HSU was referred by the rehab hospital upon dad's discharge there. HSU has provided PT, and wound care. He initially had Lisa, as his nurse, she was great and Rachel for PT, also very good. Due to a scheduling change he was assigned Britney for his wound care nurse and she has gone above and beyond in her care for dad. We very much appreciate her efforts and the company's responsiveness to dad's needs during this difficult time being separated from family and dealing with pandemic protocols in his assisted living facility. Thanks!

We have HSU to thank for my grandmother’s health and our peace of mind. Rachel was visiting my grandma on a routine basis for physical therapy. It was during one of her visits that she noticed something was off and urged my family to seek medical attention for my grandmother. As it turns out, Rachel was right and my grandmother received the care she needed at a local hospital. After returning home from the hospital, HSU sent a nurse, Lisa to help my grandma acclimate to her new routine at home. Lisa was not only wonderful towards my grandmother, but also extremely helpful in sorting out all of the paperwork and prescriptions. She also helped field phone calls from the doctors and nurses from the hospital who were following up. We feel so lucky to have both Rachel and Lisa and the HSU staff to help my grandma and our family navigate her health and keep her living independently. THANK YOU HSU!

Home Service Unlimited took care of my grandma. They did an excellent Job., The RN was patient , knowledgable, professional. Grandama was dischrged with inconsistant orders of a medication, Lisa. took care of the medication, called her surgeon, primary care physicuan and pharmacy. Physical Therapist was wonderful also, Grandma said : '' Lisa is the best nurse and Rachel is the best therapist.'' Thank you HSU for taking such good care of my Grandma.

Our experience with Home Services Unlimited was not good. We finally ended services today after weeks of having to deal with numerous missed appointments with no call-backs or delayed call-backs and erratic, unpredictable schedules. My sister works a full-time demanding job and is trying to care for our Dad as best she can. The last thing she or anyone else who is care-taking needs is to be waiting around at home for therapists who don't show, and chasing down therapists to schedule/reschedule appointments. We understand things come up in the course of a day, but this agency has a very poor system of scheduling, communication and follow-up - placing unnecessary burden on the caretaker to manage communications & scheduling when we have a million other things to worry about. Agencies should be there to relieve the burden - NOT ADD TO IT - as this agency did, which is a shame as we were led to expect differently in all our up-front communications with the Sales Rep. We were also very unhappy with the OT who spent no time hands-on with our Dad. She spent all of her time visits telling my sister what to change in her house and NO TIME working hands on with my Dad on things like transferring, balance, arm strength, dressing, etc. - things that would have benefitted our Dad greatly but they she deemed unnecessary. He had excellent OT care in the rehab center he was in just in but has regressed significantly since being under the care of this agency and the OT's hands-off approach. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the agency with all the issues we were experiencing and gave them a chance to do a mid-course correction as we really valued the PT who was great with our Dad and working to keep him mobile in the house. But when he failed to show on 3 different occasions this week and when an Aid missed an appointment on top of that without calling promptly to reschedule - enough was enough. My hope is that this agency seriously looks at its OT protocols, staffing, scheduling & communication issues and figures out how to help patients get better and make life a bit easier on care-takers.

My mother hired HSU to provide private-pay home health "companion care" after a serious stroke. The company required a $7000+ "security deposit", stating that she would get the unused portion of the amount back when she was finished with the service. She had to fire the company 6 days later because of horrible performance by the staff sent to "help" her. We have had to make MANY calls trying to get the more than $5000. returned. Now, 5 weeks later, the deposit was finally credited to her account. Admittedly the contract stated that the company has 90 days to process a refund. We missed that gem when signing. If you don't mind essentially loaning the company a significant amount of money for a quarter of a year, cool. I would also assume that the care you would receive will be better than Mother's experience. Hope that this is just a major fluke.
