Received a bill for 5x the off the shelf cost of my newborns formula. I have called them every day for 3 weeks and can’t get anyone to call me back. I’m going to report them to the state.

[Updated review: changing from five stars to one star. I have just received my THIRD bill for $257 for CPAP supplies I’ve already paid for TWICE. Ordering CPAP supplies is a breeze. Dante Alighieri should have created a separate circle of Hell for IU Health-Home Health’s billing department, which is malicious and vindictive in their incompetence.] Their products are good. They're very good at matching up exactly the right supplies needed for the correct CPAP machine. Their billing system absolutely SUCKS. If you call Home Health Billing, the first thing they ask is how much you will be paying today. If you complain, they will retaliate by turning *every single bill* over to collection without ever sending you a statement with the actual date of service. Health care reimbursement accounts require a statement showing date of service. I ordered supplies in December, 2020 and stated specifically that I needed a statement from them which showed date of service. I received a statement from them which did NOT have a date of service, dated January 4, 2021: therefore, I could claim supplies for reimbursement on 2020. I called about the status of the $98 which was due and was told the amount had been paid by insurance. I received a letter from a collection agency showing that the bill for $98 had been turned over to collections. Another bill for $36 had been paid because I mailed in the payment and had the cancelled check to prove it. It, too, was turned over to collections. This way, IU Health Home Care get paid *twice*. Today I learned I have been charged $257 AGAIN for a bill I’ve already paid TWICE, and threatened with having the bill turned over to collections. I was told they upgraded their billing system six months ago. They can’t get bugs in their billing system worked out within SIX MONTHS? If you can find another source to get your CPAP supplies, I strongly urge to to use that source and avoid IU Health-Home Care like the plague. IU Health-Home Care exemplifies business in the time of Trump: predatory and vindictive. If you contact their billing department, bear in mind that they begin with the attitude that the customer is ALWAYS wrong. Caveat emptor: let the buyer beware.

I received one bill for a service from 7 months prior stating that it was the final notice before being sent to collections in 2 business days. I had never been given a notice. There was no ability to pay online and the bill looked fraudulent. The person on the phone was rude and acted like I was stupid for not knowing what the charges were for.

I am very disappointed in this service. I received 2 months of supplies for my child and it was on time. I was told my insurance would cover to a certain amount not knowing that the price for the formula I was receiving was set for $180 when retail was $36. My insurance only covered half. In the long run I could have saved money going to the store using coupons from the manufacturer. I have called numerous times to make sure the price was correct and they keep giving me a phone number to a CPAP education center. I feel like this service is taking advantage of families that are in a bad spot.

If I could give zero stars I would. IU Health Homecare and Hospice is one of the worst bill collectors I have ever dealt with. They are rude, unreasonable and apparently don't have the capability to set up autopay. Its like the dark ages. They are unprofessional and don’t respond to reasonable requests either. They are also trigger happy with putting your name in collections for a sum of money less than $50 for a delayed payment I knew nothing about. It is ridiculous. So if you don't want your credit score axed, I would go elsewhere.
