I wish I'd never allowed my loved one to be placed under their supervision. They don't return calls. Or emails. They will not resolve issues. I'm not provided incident reports. My loved one is unable to communicate, and I worry about them every day. I would never recommend this place as HCBS, or host home providers. In it for the money, and they're making alot. Unprofessional. Dishonest. 11/26 Their response is complete BS. I have called and called. Voice mail boxes are full! ( by design) I don't get responses from your host home coordinator, or HR. I've sent MANY emails that just dont get responded to. I've also heard that your HCBS program is terrible. But so is everybody else's. You need to get your support people up to the task. Lovely promises and assurances, but once that contract is signed, that disappears. Advice to anyone even thinking of signing ANY contract with this company: Get what you want on that contract. Have a contract review every 3 months for the first 6 months if there are things you want to add, or change. Do not rely on this company, or any other DD service company to tell you the truth. They won't . Get it in writing. Also get in writing that you reserve the right to change host homes, or hcbs homes at any time. You'll definitely want that. Not ONE company in this area is trustworthy. If you possibly can, have a lawyer look over the contract before you sign it.

If you are thinking about this agency for your loved one(s), run far away from this place. When my friend was under the care of To The Rescue there were more incidents I can count in the short 8 months she lived under their care. She endured many injuries and To The Rescue refused to share incident reports with the guardian. Staff are not friendly and my friend rarely even received a greeting when she returned to her group home. Along with physical injuries there were several medication errors. The communication is basically nonexistent even with meetings weekly to try to fix issues. Staff is not serious about changing soiled depends/ clothing as my friend was completely saturated more times than not upon my arrival. Communication also lacks in regard to making sure someone is eating their 3 meals a day. There were times I picked up my friend and I asked the staff if she had eaten and they were unsure. My friend went to the ER more times under the care of To The Rescue than the entirety of my relationship I’ve known her. This place is not professional and I would never trust them with someone I love.

If they "purchase" from your business, it is advisable to get full payment up front. We held merchandise for them out of trust and consideration for their clients. They said the payee would be in the following Friday with payment. They didn't show up. After a few weeks, I extended a courtesy call. Voice mail and no return call. I tried again in a couple weeks, and the two people with whom I spoke passed me on to someone else, and I left voice mail again, reminding them we were holding merchandise. No return call. Finally, I got through to the payee after over 2 months of holding merchandise. She informed me that the client bought merchandise elsewhere. I commented that we had been holding this merchandise for over 2 months, and simply stated that a courtesy call would have been appreciated. She proceeded to tell me she works 92 hours a week and didn't have time. Well, you had time to take your clients shopping elsewhere, so you had time to make a simple call. Then she accused me of being rude and hung up. I called the person who is allegedly in charge, and politely began explaining the situation, and she hung up too 🤣🤣🤣. I didn't raise my voice once...jeesh. REAL class act. Bottom line, get payment in full. Lesson learned.

What are the last names of Karla, Danielle and Melissa at the 3901 1st St SE (staff members)? They are really good, although I do need much better cords for my smartphone, headphones (corded) and I need female (rather than male) friendships, job employment (Walmart, Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut, the Godfather's Pizza, Pizza Ranch, Papa John's Pizza, Sparking Image, Johnny Boys [car washes], book stores, the Lindale Mall, Little Caesars Pizzas, any Walgreen's, HyVee, Aldi stores, Dollar General/Dollar Tree, any local hotels or the Cedar Rapids Library. I'm a client at SE 1st St Day Hab.
