An unfortunate and clumsy mishap landed me in an ambulance ride to VMH in Waukon. Despite being in terrible pain, the paramedics and hospital staff managed to keep my spirits up with their shared sense of humor—making me laugh and smile throughout the day. They were incredibly attentive, compassionate, and made me feel at ease from the moment I arrived in the ER. I couldn’t have asked for better care. Highly recommend.

Went in to ER to have a fish hook removed from my thumb. No problems with the care. Three months later I get a bill for over $1600. No wonder this hospital can't even break even. Will not go back again.

Nursing staff and paramedics are amazing here. The providers on call are not great. I have taken both of my children here due to severe illness and other reasons. Nursing staff and paramedics there have always been prompt with helping and making sure we are taken care of. The last experience I had when I was there will be the last time I ever take my children or myself to this facility. I always end up with the same provider there and he is horrible and rude. Back when they had mayo providers, my urgent care and er visits were great.
