We were referred to Pratt from our home town for my daughter and grandbaby. We were reassured Pratt has some of the greatest Doctors and Nurses in the state and my babies would be surrounded by support. We got there and everyone there is so friendly, understanding, empathetic and caring. They treated my daughter amazing, and put her heart at ease. Dr. Espinosa was absolutely phenomenal and our nurses from the clinic to surgery were hands down just the absolute best. The anesthesiologist is amazing. They kept my daughter comfortable, relaxed and pain free the entire time. They made our very sad and difficult journey a little easer to cope with and helped my daughter through the process she needed with complete understanding.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to stop at Pratt Regional Medical Center last week. I’m not from the area, but if this is what your hospitals are like in south central Kansas, I will make sure and bypass the area altogether. The man at the switchboard check in area looked like he was just released from prison with tattoos covering his face and neck. Not a good first impression and also he was extremely rude. The hospital appeared as it was closed with half of the lights off and dimly lit. From what I hear not being able to pay their electric bill is the least of their concerns. There was no one around, no other patients. Hindsight this should have been my clue to get out of there quickly. Against my better judgement I stayed and was seen (not treated). I’m not certain as to who runs the hospital, if it’s a CEO or a board of directors, but it is very obvious the hospital is not ran well.
