They seem to not care when you need it. They do the bare minimum regardless of my concerns. Then they do the bare minimum when it comes to communicating. The staff in the fast track don’t seem like they want to help, just to get you out of their hair as soon as possible. And the billing department has terrible hours for folks who have jobs. They need people there on Saturday’s yet their hours are still terrible during the weekdays. I can’t even get ahold of an itemized bill because I’m at work when they’re open. They preformed random blood work on me, sent it to a lab, never informed me what it was for or the results. They contacted me with a bill, and yet I am still waiting on my results. There’s no reason my bill should be able to be approved by insurance, printed out, sent to my house and I still can’t get the results to the lab they may or may not have done.

My son went to wm Newton Hospital by ambulance 9/27/2025 for a seizure that wouldn't stop, he was still in seizure when he left my house, that seizure at that point was 45min long, so I have no idea how long the actual seizure lasted. He was dx with low sodium 122, this is a critical situation because low sodium causes seizures and death, he wasn't treated for low sodium, they only gave him keppra a seizure drug and sent him home, he was still not fully responsive, we then transported him to KU medical center in Kansas City by ourselves where

I'm new to the area, and recently visited William Newton Hospital with a nonemergent medical need. ALL the staff, from the front desk, to check-in and check-out, Nurses, Techs, and Physician, were AMAZING. Professional, attentive, and thorough. I was seen, diagnosed, and discharged quickly with all my questions asked and follow up care in place. 5 STARS, Highly recommended.

I just want to say thank you to the staff at William Newton Hospital. Every person we interacted with treated us with the utmost care and respect as we welcomed our sweet girl into this world! Paige, the day shift OB nurse, was amazing. Knowledgeable and always willing to explain things so I could understand, and was right there ready to help any time we needed. Cheyenne, our night shift OB nurse, was also amazing. She was there during "go time" and knew just what to do for both my wife and I. I had a lot for questions about what they were doing to get it going and she knew every answer. Dr. Miller is just wonderful and brought our beautiful baby into this world happy and healthy. These are the OB staff that, while in the hospital, had direct contact with us. I can't tell you how much we appreciate not only these three, but every staff member we interacted with. I also need to recognize the staff in the kitchen on Fifth here at the hospital. Every person that came here and ate the food while we were in the hospital and even those that just seen the plates were raving at just how good everything looked and tasted. We are fortunate to have such great "hospital" food right here, rather than having to eat out. They took care of us, and even in the odd hours were so accommodating. Even those that came to visit spoke highly of the staff, which speaks volumes to me that not just the patient, but the family and friends, are all treated with the same care and respect!

I have never had such an amazing experience at a hospital like WN. Every single one of there staff were friendly and respectful, making sure I had anything and answered any questions I had. The ER took my situation seriously and ran all the producre necessary to cover all bases. The inpatient side has constantly surprise me with how attentive and caring their staffs are, including dining and housekeeping. The doctors and nurses walk me through what their care plan is and any new medication that I was given. I personally had a bad experience 6 years ago, so I understand some people's frustration, but they have significantly approved the last few years. Please support your local hospital!
