If I could give a zero I would. Was told by physician they would be out to assist me as a new ostomy patient within a couple days from hospital discharge. Physician put in the order for their service three times and they still said they didn’t get an order. Called my other physician who put in the order again. They still did not come. They finally came out after I called them just to see what supplies I would need and set up physical therapy (that I didn’t need). Never had assistance with assuring I was applying the ostomy equipment correctly as a new ostomy patient, even though my physician ordered this. When I called I was rudely told there was no nursing order and they were just to supply the ostomy equipment. The nurse in charge kept talking over me when I tried to explain. She still denied any order was put in for nursing care even though I saw the written order and watched it get sent to their company. I was so frustrated I hung up on her. We went to their office to get the supplies from them. When I talked with her again about this situation, she became belligerent and even more rude. She told me again to just call when I needed supplies. I called today and was told that I was discharged from their service and can’t provide the equipment. What a screwed up mess they are. Would never recommend. I am also a nurse who would never talk to a patient in this manner. She just didn’t want to be bothered. I hope the poor hospice patients receive better care.

Home Care Health Services works in a prompt and timely manner. The care team is exceptional, treating patients as if they are their own family. From the skilled nursing team, home health aides, occupational and physical therapy teams, and office staff, the care HCHS provides is phenomenal. They have been ranked the #1 home health agency in Pike County, and I know why after dealing with them when my family members were patients. I recommend them to anybody who is in need!
