TL;DR: Good for routine care; not ideal for complex or unresolved medical issues. I was a patient here for many years and had a positive experience when my health was stable. My primary care physician, Dr Joshua Duchene, was consistently kind, attentive, and professional, and routine care was handled well. In August 2024, my health declined significantly and I developed persistent neurological and cognitive symptoms. While my doctor made genuine efforts by ordering tests and referring me to specialists across the state, after more than a year there has still been no clear diagnosis, despite the crippling impact on my life. Over time, care increasingly focused on managing symptoms rather than identifying an underlying cause. Antidepressants were prescribed multiple times despite my repeated reporting that they did not help improve my symptoms, and would often exacerbate them. The most frustrating point came after more than a year of neurological complaints, when a neuropsychological evaluation was ordered and it was revealed to be primarily aimed at assigning a DSM-5 diagnosis. At that point, it became clear my condition was being reframed as depression (again). I do not believe my doctor was careless or uncaring—he was well-intentioned throughout. However, my case is complex and appears beyond what this practice is equipped to handle. For routine or general care, this practice may be a good fit. If you are dealing with a chronic, complex, or unresolved conditions and need deeper diagnostic investigation, you may want to consider a provider with a stronger internal medicine focus, which is what I'm pursuing now. Side note: This practice did order a thyroid ultrasound, showing mild enlargement consistent with early thyroiditis, and referred me for a sleep study, which revealed moderate obstructive sleep apnea. However, both were raised initially by my wife, and required strong self-advocacy to pursue. Daytime fatigue was initially attributed to antidepressants, reinforcing the pattern of reframing symptoms as depression rather than investigating further.

Couldn't be more satisfied. Dr. Paradis is thorough, she listens, she asks good questions and she gives me advice that's workable at my age. She cares about my health as much as I do.

Dr. Duchene has been extremely helpful and diligent with any health concern I have personally had or upon discovery through lab results that I wasn’t even aware of. Would recommend to anyone in need of a PCP.

Dr. Paradis is a phenomenal physician. She has the ability to establish a genuine rapport by listening, discussing, and developing a plan that is patient specific. She makes me feel I am the most important person in the room. Her breadth of knowledge is impressive.
