Brockton VNA sent a nurse who managed to insult me, confuse my father, and derail his care—all in one visit. Linda, the nurse, interrupted me repeatedly while I tried to explain crucial details about my father’s medical setup (he doesn’t have Wi-Fi, has never used a computer, and needs clear, compassionate communication). Instead of listening, she accused me of being “socially challenged” and later asked my mother—behind my back—if I was bipolar. That’s not just inappropriate, it’s stigmatizing and reckless. She also threatened to leave mid-visit, talked endlessly about her own pacemaker and her husband’s medical history (which had nothing to do with my father’s care), and told my father he “most likely has Parkinson’s disease.” He doesn’t. No doctor has diagnosed that. She confused and upset him, and undermined my role as his caregiver and daughter. I hold multiple degrees and advocate for patient safety. What my father needed was trauma-informed care and respect. What we got was chaos, speculation, and a nurse who made the visit about herself. If this is the standard of care Brockton VNA provides, families deserve better. Please go somewhere else if your life needs proper attentive care.

The five stars is for my physical therapist Nancy, my occupational therapist, Marybeth, and my nurse Ginny. They were exceptional if it wasn’t for Nancy I don’t believe that I would be getting around as well as I am unfortunately, I wish I had a few more visits. however the ones in charge think that, even though I still have “profound weakness”in my leg that I’m all set. Marybeth along with Ginny were nice enough to get a home health aid in to help me out with my personal care, especially with climbing into my shower. Once again those above them thought that this was no longer needed so it was canceled, but I do appreciate the efforts of Nancy, Marybeth and Ginny. Thank you for all you did. Thank you for all your encouragement and getting me to a point where I’m at right now. I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to thank some of you in person. However, the rug was pulled out from underneath me before I knew it and without knowing that it was going to happen. So thank you very much for all your efforts you all deserve 5stars. As far as the way I was spoken to and the lack of compassion I received by Skye RN, Julie supervisor and Elyssa OT I couldn’t and wouldn’t even give them a 1star. As a retired nurse, I believe that once you lose that compassion, you should get out of the profession

My mom has been using brockton VNA off and on due to multiple hospital stays and chronic health issues for 9 months or so. They are fantastic (I obviously can only speak to her set of nurses). Patricia and Roobie are amazing nurses. Always show up, always professional and always looking out for my mom and her health issues. We've also used PT and OT several times and Judy (PT) and Jess (OT). I cannot speak more highly of both, they are so informative caring and supportive. Although it's never easy or fun to be in a situation that requires lots of nursing care, they definitely help to make myself and my mom feel better about her quality of care. Definitely reccomend! -Leah

I used this company 2 years ago after surgery and the nurse, John, would call saying he was on his way at random times rather than when scheduled and give me an attitude when I explained that I was unavailable at those times and needed to stay with our scheduled appointment. He also called my mother, who was my emergency contact when I had to cancel and began questioning her with regards to my cancellation to which she pointed out that I had my own life. He spoke to me as though I was a child and made rude remarks regarding my service dog. Fast forward to today, after hospitalization, I had a nurse from this company come yesterday. She was 1/2 hr late & since I had another appointment, this meant that she was not able to give me my IV infusion. Thankfully I have a relative who was able to help me with this. My current nurse, Benedicta (not sure of the spelling), while not punctual for appointments, did respond immediately when I called her with a concern and instructed me on what to do while also calming my nerves.

After 3 months to reflect on the service of Brockton Visiting Nurse Hospice Care provided, I feel the necessity to express my dissatisfaction with this company. After my father started taking pain medication, it became impossible to get the prescribed refill in a timely manner. On numerous occasions, I was told that the delivery would occur in the morning but did not get delivered until late in the day. On one occasion, the morning delivery was not delivered until after 10 p.m. I spent valuable time that I should have been with my dying father calling to check on the status of the delivery. I was given excuses blaming the pharmacy or the courier. In one battle to insure we had enough pain medication, the person who delivered the medication (Dana Demiles Director of Business Development) insinuated we were over-medicating my father. I showed him the log we kept of time and amount along with the prescription bottle with its instructions. We were due to give my father the last dose we had within the hour of his special personal delivery. I spent numerous hours of valuable time on the phone frustrated, stressed and emotionally drained with the lack of service on something that should be seamless. This time should have been used for caring for my father. It was obvious talking with the staff this was a recurring problem. As a bonus to this problem, the answering service was consistently rude. Having used a different hospice service with my mother 3 years ago which was fantastic, I regret listening to the doctor who recommended your company. It was a mistake and I would caution anyone to use your services.
