Wouldn’t except me as a patient said they could only come out one or two days for wound dressing change. No empathy

There is nothing positive I can say about this agency. I had a total knee replacement on a Friday, and the physical therapy (PT) evaluator who came on Sunday was entirely inappropriate. One of the first things she told me was that I should be thinking about reducing my pain medication—far too soon given how much pain I was in. She also failed to review my surgeon’s orders, which clearly stated that I was permitted to shower with assistance. As a result, when the home aide arrived later that week, I was told I could only take a sponge bath because the PT’s notes were given priority over my surgeon’s instructions. When I contacted her supervisor to resolve this, I was told it would take several days. I do not understand why a PT’s notes would override a surgeon’s orders. Because she would not help me with taking a shower I asked the aide for basic help—such as making my bed and doing a few dishes—she refused, despite the fact that I was just out of surgery and had trouble walking and live alone. That assistance would have been invaluable. The regular PT who followed was pleasant but extremely passive and did not provide exercises to improve my range of motion, setting my recovery back by at least two weeks. This was in stark contrast to the experiences of others I know who received active, effective in-home PT after knee replacement. Ultimately, I transitioned to outpatient PT. The only truly competent and helpful professional I encountered was the nurse, Janet, who assisted with a brace issue. Overall, the staff appeared disorganized, inattentive to physician orders, and unwilling to provide appropriate support. If I had been elderly or unable to advocate for myself, the consequences could have been serious.

Preparing for surgery Mass General Brigham and Woman’s helped me at Home to make my recovery ❤️🩹 time easier. This team had a POD of experienced members on there team to make everything come together. Starting with “Cindy Tashman”Going through the process of organizing and making sure my health care information was accurate in the patient gateway . Going to the extreme accuracy of making sure information was correct. She showed true care. Then meeting with “Steve Finn”to go over what I could and could not do.. to make sure the steps were in place for my next step. At home Physical Therapy with 2 very knowledgeable physical therapists that provided in depth.. structured organized home PT that would be provided for a lifetime on Med Bridge ..””Kristen Cockwell PT DPT” delegating an astounding team.. along side her team included Jessica Tahiraj PTA” she displayed AMAZING KNOWLEDGE & dedication to Mass General Brigham Clients! They BOTH went above and beyond to help me better understand how I can exercise and help my recovery process be quicker. I truly don’t have enough words to thank this incredible team ! Thank you once again Lynne L

This company is just an excuse to continue to charge insurances and build their empire. This one star is complaint about the first call. A receptionist called to schedule a visit at my home. I asked her what the services were. After multiple requests, she could not answer. ( I received no PT or OT exercises plan on paper on discharge). I expected for the receptionist to tell me why I should invite their company to go to my home. She instead was asking what day I would allow them to visit. She said that my question of why I would have them visit would need to be answered by the PT/OT after they visited. I let her know I was not agreeing to this. She hung up on me. This is so unacceptable.

Very disappointed with our experience so far. Takes forever to receive services leaving a large void after a three month hospitalization. Intake nurse said my daughter was approved for a home health aide but then we get a call 3 days later that it has to be submitted to insurance. In the meantime, no help. It’s taking a full week after the intake for the first nursing visit. This is unacceptable. We have seen OT and PT once each and they were okay.
