I think the nurses that assisted my mother were friendly and competent. My issue is with the companies scheduling and communication system. I experienced multiple scheduling issues and I was never given a phone line to call to address any issues. At the initial visit we were told to download an App. At that visit we were told "all communication is done through the App." The App. only allows you to text messages. You are unable to call or directly message anyone specifically. Also, there was a few issues with scheduling-They altered our appointment without calling us or notifying us of the appointment change. When we asked about this they said someone was suppose to call us the night before. No one ever called my number or my mothers the night before for our appointment change. I asked the nurse who was assisting my mother for a phone number to call to address my issues. No number was given to me but instead someone called me. When I asked about the scheduling issues and the Apps. shortcomings the person was oblivious to what the App. could do on the patients end and she said I should be able to call them. Well, that is not true - I sent a screenshot of the Apps. homepage. All the user can do is message or text on the App, (or accept video calls). Either she doesn't know how the App actually works or maybe it operates differently using an Apple phone (which is what i mentioned I am using.). I don't understand the difficulty of keeping to a schedule and/or keeping appointment times clear but I do understand mistakes can happen easily without proper communication. I was trying to explain to the individual some of the shortcomings of the App. and the robo-call reminders (which we received only 1 time), and the manager tried to point fingers on issues on our end which was not accurate. I asked if there was a confirmation of receipt of reminder calls-the answer was no. I asked if their was GPS, to verify, individuals were at a particular appointment at appropriate times-the answer was no. I asked about the Apps flaws-and she said that I should be able to call on the App because she can make calls-I sent her a screenshot of my phone which clearly shows that I can not phone call anyone. The App. only allows for text messages. I have only been using their home health care for about a month, too. I just want clarity and ease. In addition, I have been working with two separate hospitals, as well, and I have not had one issue regarding communication or scheduling, etc.
