Care for who I am? I don't think so. The 1st Occupational Therapist treated my home as though it were her own, not to mention I was already doing the exercises she was trying to "teach" me. The 2nd OT failed to show for appt; no show no call, showed up 2 days late unannounced and was offended when I wouldn't drop everything and admit her. My stated goals for therapy were largely ignored and left unmet.; while PT just repeated the same lower body exercises over and over, again I wasn't in need of instruction as to how to do them. Lastly the "Social worker" failed to show for the last appt; no show, no call and no response to texts or messages. In the end I didn't benefit much if at all, still in intense pain, still not able to get into the shower, still unable to walk without assistance od some kind. Medicare/Medicaid most definitely didn't benefit. As far as I can tell the only ones to benefit are Ascension. Avoid like the plague!

My mother’s last month was spent suffering in pain and confusion. The nurses had stopped coming 1 month before she passed. The last nurse when we called her pleading said she was busy with other patients and come as soon as she could. She never showed up and never called to see what my mother’s condition was. My brother called the agency several times and waited on hold to nobody answering. Palative care? Whatever.

There’s a reason this company has such a low rating. We lucked out with an amazing nurse, and that is the ONLY reason we are still with them. Otherwise I would be firing this company and going with another. The substitute nurses have been sub par...each rushing the job and acting like they’d rather be somewhere else. One had a bad attitude the second she stepped into our home-offering a sarcastic comment the moment she walked through the door. No compassion there. Our experience with their so-called 24/7 line has been a joke. We were told at the onset to call the line if we had any problems and a nurse would be able to walk us through any PICC line or wound vac issues. Twice we’ve needed to contact them; both times leaving a message with their answering service. First time, we received no return call. Second time we got a call back 6 hours later! When you’re dealing with sick, vulnerable and scared patients who are relying on your medical expertise, this is completely unacceptable!! Two of my husband’s doctors even tried calling this company since we weren’t getting a response and the doctors never got a call back either. There are several other issues as well, but the bottom line is...if given the choice, do not use this company.

We have been waiting 5 days and despite pleading and phone calls, I have yet been unsuccessful in getting any morphine for my Mother who is in her last days of hospice. She can no longer swallow and desperately needs the concentrated morphine that only hospice can provide. Phone calls go unreturned. I begged for a social worker visit--nothing. I finally had to purchase other supplies myself--bed pads, gloves but I cannot obtain the morphine myself. This is the worst medical care experience I have ever come across. For my first hospice experience, this has been a nightmare. Their incompetence is cruel--hospice patients like my Mother don't have the luxury of time. I only gave one star because the web site would not allow me to give zero.

Would not reccomend, if you want to know why, read on. My father was diagnosied with matastised melanoma and referred to hospice care about 18 months ago. The very first meeting with these people was confused and discombobulated. The social worker and nurse were supposed to both come but apparently they got their schedules crossed and weren't sure what each other was doing. The social worker remained absent for much of the time, however, the nurse was around to earn my father's trust which is a difficult task when it comes to someone caring for him. Then she unapologetically disappeared without even a word, and when we did get in contact her, we were simply told her shift got changed as if it was no big deal. To people assisting there loved one with a terminal illness and to the person dealing with this themselves, this is a big deal. In his last few days the social worker was non existent and we had no set nurse. The ones who did come out were impersonal and seemed to be simply checking off a to do list instead of really caring for my dad. I believe his last couple of days could have been less painful for him had these people been more present and not dropped the ball. I wont go into the details but lets just say they were aware of issues thst they chose not to deal with. Issues that if that had dealt with, he could have been more comfortable. I have heard stories of hospice being there for the dying person ad their family. This place won't give you that. You will get your medicine but you won't get your support which is necessary. This is why I can not to be them any good rating.
