Beaumont Hospice and the hospice nursing & CNA staff were incredible. They lovingly cared for our Mother in her final days at Troy Beaumont. We could not have asked for a more caring and compassionate team. Special thanks to Suzanne, Bill, Deb, Diamond, Julia & Caylee. I know I forgot a couple of names, but you all deserve the highest recognition.

We experienced several serious communication and coordination issues with Beaumont Hospice. My mother was left without pain medication after an order wasn’t placed, and although two nurses told her to double her dose, none of it was documented. When her medication ran out and the delivery never came, she was blamed for “taking too much,” despite following their guidance. Nurses often arrived without updated notes, and we were told some documentation hadn’t been entered for days. We also had a nurse hang up when I asked for a supervisor, and the social worker responded with, “There are two sides to every story.” When we switched to another hospice, Beaumont discharged my mother the night before the new hospice could admit her, without explaining that this meant no access to care if something happened. That night she had a severe pain episode, and the on-call nurse said she didn’t know who my mother was and couldn’t help. I had to escalate my voice and be very firm just to get someone to come out. The next day, Beaumont attempted to remove her oxygen equipment before the new hospice delivered replacement oxygen. Thankfully, she didn’t answer the door. This was extremely upsetting during an already vulnerable time. I hope Beaumont Hospice addresses these issues for future families.

Beaumont is definitely not someplace I will be recommending. They are definitely understaffed my dad has not had a home aid in going on 4 weeks we had to pay someone to come in and give him a bath. Supervisor don’t return calls… now this week they shorted us a nurse keep giving my mom empty promises saying someone will show up and no one does.. just acceptable.. There are a lot of people that care but too many that don’t its really sad

I would just like to say that Beaumont Hospice was amazing with my dad. EVERY single person we dealt with was kind, compassionate, loving and caring. They showed up in a reasonable amount of time when we called, even in the middle of the night, they answered all of our questions, they were there when things got rough. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without them. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing hospice care. Thank you to everyone there. You have no idea how much we appreciate you. From, The family of Larry C.

I see some negative experiences posted here. We were very satisfied with Beaumont Hospice. My Dad's nurse Karen was awesome. Smart, very experienced and extremely caring. My Dad loved her. His aid Tanya was also incredible, always had a smile and after she was done caring for him, she would always take a minute to sit and chat with him. He loved her also. Melissa the social worker made sure to call me on a routine basis to see if I needed anything. When my father needed to be moved to a Nursing Care Center after becoming Bedridden, Melissa and Tyne did everything for me. Made all the arrangements. It was so nice. Sherrie was his Nurse at Shelby Nursing Center when he passed away. Very nice and compassionate. I would recommend this company to anyone. Dad was in hospice for 2 years and we couldn't have been more happy. He died very comfortable and peaceful.
